This paper is on the history and development of Post WWII America: Technology, Business, Immigration, and Labor Policies up to the 1990s. Many things have improved since World War II and some things also haven’t improved. Some of the things that has improved are automobiles, radios, technology, and techniques to the way of life. There are very little things that have improved since the war because that business or factory that made that thing would sell out or plainly run out of business and another improvement up to the 1990s was decreased employment of farmers due to over production after the war. By 1947 the soldiers shrunk to an amount of 1.5 million men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces. Before the war there was an Immigration Act that was put into use in 1921 and it limited the rights into immigrating into America. Finally in 1965 the Immigration Act loosened and immigration started to increase. The key to gaining p[population from immigration is from jobs, wages, government support, cultural arguments, moral arguments, and political arguments. It began with the weaponry, logistical support, communications, medicine, and industry. The weaponry of world war two helped improve the advances of ships, aircrafts vehicles, and leads on science with the chemicals used to make toxic weapons. Communications led to improvement on navigation, which later led to the GPS. Medicine was important and it brought new ideas to the doctor world to help people for example it improved surgical methods, drugs, and improved techniques within an aiding area. Industry caused an impact because when the war ended, automobile companies had to change their companies from making trucks, jeeps, and tanks to the making of vehicles for the civilians. About two to three years after the war was all finished, the automobile age began with cars changing body styles to streamlined structures. Aviation travel also began to become popular as aircrafts enhanced safer and sleeker designs. Retired bomber planes were used as designs to create some passenger planes for the everyday civilian to travel place to place. The Space Race soon began, supersonic aircrafts, satellites, rockets, and space shuttles were beginning to get produced for the race to space and the moon against Russia in the Cold
