This would shrink the illegal population and life for American workers would improve. Mark Krikorian is the executive director for The Center of Immigration Services and supports The Federation for American Immigration Reform who is a national, non-profit organization who share a common belief that our nation’s immigration policies must be reformed. Even though amnesty is thought to be the solution to cure our illegal population, we need to shape and enforce immigration laws. Nathan Thornburgh comments in his article “The Case for Amnesty” that he feels amnesty would be a good thing for America and gives five main reasons to support his findings. Thornburgh believes Amnesty can work politically, amnesty will not depress wages-globalization has already done that, Amnesty will not undermine the rule of law, Amnesty will not necessarily add to the social-services burden and Amnesty doesn’t have to spawn even more illegal immigration.
Similarities between past and modern republican platforms: · Abortion views are the same – Unborn child has individual right to life, no infringement · Immigration – Law is strongly enforced against those who come overseas with a visa · Marriage is the base and national standard of our society Similarities between past and modern democratic platforms: · Work force – More job opportunities for all · Middle class tax cuts · Achieving adequate housing supply so that everyone has a proper place to live 5. I feel like Jefferson would be part of the Democratic Party in today’s world. He was a secular and liberal humanist, and that leans more towards the platforms of the Democratic Party. On the other hand Alexander Hamilton would be closer to the Republican Party because he extremely supported a theocracy, and he also cared more about the stability of the country economically instead of the people, hence he created the Federalist
Yazan Samaro Professor Beluris History M01B December 4, 2011 Paper #4 As the leader of 6,000 inhabitants at Moorpark, California I plan to reconstruct society from what I have learned in History M01B. I would start out by explaining the importance of freedom and nationalism to my people to create an efficient political system. John Lock’s theories about the equality of independence of man are important for the citizens to understand that my political system will defend their natural rights of life, liberty and property no matter what ethnicity or gender they are. I think Lenin’s nationalist ideas can create unity and equality between the state and its people, working together. This means that my political system will consist of me as their leader along with my party that can be voted into office by the 6000 people remaining.
When an immigrant becomes a citizen, it changes the way he or she feels toward the United States. Rodriguez writes, “It is not surprising that studies show that naturalized citizens tend to have a positive outlook on the United States.” Being a citizen provides many privileges and two of them are, being able to run for public office and having the right to vote during an election. In a public office position an immigrant can help not only with immigrant’s issue but also possible with country’s issues. Voting is very important for immigrants because it help the cause of future immigrants, forcing politicians to hear the voice of immigrants. This privilege is an important right that resonates with the pride one can feel as an American.

Fredrick.O. Adeyemi A land of Promises and Immigrants “The New Colossus” by Emma Lazarus is a poem about the Statue of Liberty and how it welcomes new immigrants from all over the world to the United States. The Statue represents their stability, and hope of what they are going to get when they move to the New World. Many of these immigrants come to the United States because of political and religious persecution and shortage of jobs. They think that the United States will be a good place to escape these elements and for a chance to start over.
It keeps the country from being over run by minorities; America will still keep its race’s face. An immigration bill directly affects the journey to attaining the “American Dream”. The American Dream should be able to be attained by everyone who seeks it. The thing is it can be attained by
I think that an organization should be very open in their decision so employees do not get shocked when they get laid off. After all some companies need to outsource to being able to compete and keep a sustainable competitive advantage towards their competitors. Do you agree with some politicians that we need laws to limit offshore outsourcing? The idea of passing laws to limit offshore outsourcing I think is a good idea as long as they are only applied to government contractors. Other companies need the opportunity to outsource to being able to compete.
Now immigration process falls under two different categories making it more efficient. Those two different ways are: family immigration, and marriage immigration. Rules taken behind immigration process are meant not only to protect people but also allow young people to experience this opportunistic country. Youngsters are tomorrows future and allowing them to enter this country enables them to experience a country that takes opportunities for granted. The United States was and is built on the ideas by people who were also immigrants from other countries.
This is what any politician would do to prevent his reputation from dwindling to nothing (Klein 1-3). Legalization is the solution to many of America’s problems, both economic and humane. All we need is for legislature to be opened minded and educated on the benefits of cannabis. Legalizing will help boost our reputation in a way that nothing else
