Physical Facilities Evaluation Robert Nassar SEC/370 University of Phoenix Background This security budget plan is for a gas station with a mini market, this store has not be robbed nor has any breach of security has happened due to the great security that it has, but as we all know even the most secured places at some point can have a breach of security. This Gas station is located near Kings Island off of I-71 north of Cincinnati Ohio. This part of town is the biggest tourist attraction and is home to the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. The Station has a pump island and a mini market that has a hotel across from it. In some situations it is better to give a criminal what they want to avoid any bodily harm and hope that ample security cameras or a security guard with the proper training knows what to do and not panic in every situation. Hidden cameras in key places can also help authorities if a breach of security has happened. “Security will monitor all activity on the premises and alert staff of any possible mischief. Security will also alert proper authorities in cases of fire, bomb threat or robbery, before acting on their own. Having ample security is deterrence to most criminal activity. The current budget has an annual cost of $17,325.00 and with the new proposal the first year will exceed current budget the first year, and then will show a drop of $4825.00 for the next 5 years due to the warranty and service agreement provided with the new equipment, with the option to sign an extended warranty and service agreement at the end of agreement period. The proposed budget is to design and setup of a new floor plan is to make sure that all security features and personal are working to ensure and provide safety to the employees and customer and reduce and prevent both a breach in security by a criminal/s.
