Purpose. What is ones "purpose" on this crazy world we all call home? For some it takes their whole life to figure it out and some never do. For the longest time I thought I had it all figured out, I love the spot light the feeling of being on stage and entertaining people. but as I got older I started to feel like I was put on this earth not just to entertain but to make a difference in the lives of others through theater since it made such a difference in my life and now the only way I can think of spending the rest of my life is being a theater educator.
There are many different actor that I idealize due to their work ethic and their intelligent natural for acting. One of them really stands out to me his name is “Willard Christopher Smith”, Smith was born September 25, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania U.S. Smith started his acting career in 1985 when he started a show called Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Smith kept working hard and he starred in two award winning movies such as; Ali and Pursuit of
Act 1 Scene 5 – Romeo and Juliet How does Shakespeare make Act 1 Scene 5 of Romeo and Juliet so exciting? Act 1 Scene 5 is one of the most important parts of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ because this is the scene when Romeo and Juliet first meet and it is love at first sight. Shakespeare has made this an enjoyable scene because he has used lots of emotions to make it more exciting and dramatic. Shakespeare makes the start of Act1 Scene 5 quite exciting because the serving men are preparing for some sort of party; this makes the atmosphere from the stage go into the audience because everyone is ready for what is going to happen next. Shakespeare also makes people know how rich Capulate is by the serving man saying “save me a piece of marchpane” marchpane was very expensive.
As a college student and speaking as a member of the rest of the Pocatello theatre-attending community, I found the play very fitting and easy to understand. Although set in a different time period, some of the scenarios presented in the play were very relatable for many of the audience members. Most college students have had a roommate or two that they haven’t been too fond of or gotten along with, and seeing the same relationship played out onstage was frankly hilarious. The stage direction and blocking in the theatre in the round made this production of The Odd Couple unique and exciting. Action could be seen from all areas of the house, but there was never a time when my view was obstructed by stage furniture or other actors.
Baz Luhrmann made Romeo and Juliet interesting for teenagers with a lot of modernised themes and costumes. It is a very suspenseful, dramatic and romantic film.

Bridge to Terabithia The bridge to a magical place, “Bridge to Terabithia”. I have just seen the movie “Bridge to Terabithia”. This movie was very extraordinary, it was a great movie. It had lots of adventure and lots imagination and was well thought out. A young boy named Jess got teased and pushed around at school.
During the development process of my group’s interpreted Commedia dell’ Arte piece, I was able to develop my skills as an actor through the manipulation of the elements of drama and increase my understanding of the Commedia dell’ Arte genre. I developed my character, Arlecchino, using the elements of status, voice, movement and audience engagement while contributing to the group aspect of the performance too. In time for the final performance I was able to create a convincing portrayal of the Commedia character, Arlecchino, and our group was able to perform very well. Arlecchino, or Harlequin, is the the most popular of the zanni, or comic servant characters from Italian Commedia dell’ Arte. Arlecchino’s character was first created in Italy as early as 1572 and is known for being a slow thinker, acrobatic and nimble.
Death of a Salesman Death of a Salesman is a great play, it draws strong attention of who sees or reads the play. This play is so great that, according with Jason Milligan, “[it] continue[s] to remain so timely…because [it] serve[s] a primal function of the theater: to hold a mirror up to our souls, to be the moral conscience of our times”. Death of a Salesman truly impacts people making them think and compare themselves or people they know with characters of the play, especially Willy Loman. The personalities that Miller portraits on his characters are as same of people that readers and viewers know on a day to day basis, which makes them open their eyes with a different image. Willy was a traveling salesman in his sixties that experiences an emotional crisis, Willy’s past repeats to him in vivid scenes and interferes with the present.
Importance of studying Shakespeare Simply stated, students should study Shakespeare’s works in school because of the incredible value within them. In addition to exposing students to a large amount of literary techniques, Shakespeare's plays challenge the student with difficult language and style, express a profound knowledge of human behavior and offer insight into the world around us. William Shakespeare is recognized by much of the world as the greatest of all dramatists. The intricate meanings, extensive vocabulary, and powerful imagery contained within his works demonstrate the exceptional story telling ability of this playwright. To begin with, analyzing Hamlet's motivations, or lack of motivations, ends up being pretty easy for students in the long run because of the relevance of Hamlet's struggle as the dutiful son.
