After ten years of being unpublished someone suggested I try romance” (Jean, sec. 2). "I wrote series romance for the next five years. It was a rewarding experience, but after 12 romance novels I ran out of sexual positions and decided to move into the mystery genre” (White, sec. 1).
Once again tears had filled my eyes knowing that this rally had truly made a difference in the community. Just like my teacher has inspired me to become a Special Education teacher, I want to inspire the rest of the community to do what you believe in. If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish it just like I did. And I promise, you will never forget the feeling. It’s the best feeling I have ever
Jose Ramos Blk. 2 Personal Statement Response for Prompt #2 Word Count = 510 When I was still in my mother’s stomach, she told herself that her son has a gift given to him from god. It all began in the summer of 2009; I was 15 years old but full of lots of issues that I had to take on during that age but it all changed after I switched schools. Soon after arriving to my new school in Santa Cruz, I met my assigned counselor Lue Lutz. He was quite tall so it felt awkward at first because I never had a counselor so tall and also I was shy to talk with him.
I never let any second pass without her knowing and feeling how much I love and appreciate her. I try my best to spend time with her and make her happy. Seeing her happy lifts up the burden that this event has given me. I know I can not blame anyone, not even God, and rather be thankful that He has given me one of the greatest gifts in life - a great mother. Baker also is the author of the book “Growing Up”, which also won a Pulitzer Prize in 1982. In Russell Baker’s writing called “Becoming a Writer” Baker documents the early start of his writing career. Baker explains that at the young age of sixteen years old he knew he was destined to become a great writer, which is solidified with a retrospective evaluation of his career. Baker’s quote “The only thing that truly interested me was writing, and I knew that sixteen year olds did not come out of high school and become writers.” Showcases his predetermined choice of career despite the obvious opposition of the society in which he lived. I remember turning in papers and they would come back marked up in read ink telling me all the mistakes I made, most of those mistakes where punctuations and spelling. I have never been a great speller and I remember in one of his assignments he had us do was to write an essay and hand out copies to out classmates for them to read. Before handing out my essay, I had Mr. Smith look my paper over to get his thoughts on how it read.
One day I turned the TV on, and there were was nothing I liked that was playing. I decided to look up movies on Netflix to keep me entertained. However, I couldn't find any movies that seemed of interest to me. I had then got the idea to look up television series, and to my surprise, Bones was an option. One thing I was sure about is that my magnificent professor never steers her students wrong and that that evening’s festivities was sure to be a learning experience; and it was. First, the awards that were presented were great. I absolutely love the ‘quiet hero’ title because it gives recognition to the people who do great things for their communities. Dr. Zimbardo believes that every community possesses an individual or a group of individuals who deserves recognition for daily acts of heroism. Heroism can come in the form of many things, and Dr. Zimbardo most likely feels the same way I do pertaining to that.
