Mr. Johnson took Doug out for the third quarter, and by some stroke of luck everyone on our team caught fire. Next thing you know we were down 20, then 15, then 10. Finally we took the lead right as the third quarter came to a close. In the fourth Doug was back in and they started scoring more, but Drew kept up with Doug pretty well this time. We ended up being down 3 with 10 seconds left.
I get the inbound and head straight for our basket feeling the time about to expire; I desperately heaved the last shot from between the three point line to the mid-court. Hitting nothing but the bottom of the net we win. My crowd erupts even louder than the other team had. Hitting the game winner is something I will never
Members of the defending champion always enjoyed it and took it for granted that they were unbeatable and absorbed in the past. As freshmen in the school, we were full of energy and confidence, and then five newbies came into together with the same desire, beating the seniors and winning the title. It has been a long time since nothing else could inspire me that much. When it comes to the encouragement during my years at the university, my lucky experience that our team won the basketball game with hard work had really made me more confident and improved my studying. Even though our team was full of confidence and basketball consciousness, we still practiced a lot, and were well prepared for every game.
My first experience playing organized basketball began when I was in the fifth grade on an after school program in the old armory. We played every Saturday morning and I remember that this is where I became the best point guard ever. At least that was the mentality I had because I thought I knew where my basketball career was headed. Little did I know at that time, the odds of me becoming a professional NBA star were not in my favor. Nevertheless, I continued on with my dad’s support and mentoring to be the best player the Arkansas River Valley had ever laid eyes on.
I lost everything in my house including my ticket to a basketball game. Lakers lost because I did not make it to the game to cheer them up as a big lakers fan due to loss ticket. Fans provide team with inspiration, confidence, courage and financial support. In conclusion NBA provides high powered entertainment and people around the world are extremely excited about NBA competition. Since basketball has attracted such a huge
In the 1984 Olympics Jordan won the gold medal. He won rookie of the year and averaged 28.2 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 5.9 assists per game, which is really good for a rookie player. In his second year in the NBA the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan versed the Boston Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Playoffs. Where Jordan scored 63 points against the Boston Celtics. Which is a remarkable achievement for any player in the NBA.
St. Anthony’s usually beats us, but it’s a close game every single time. Also it is the biggest rivalry in our league. The crowd of this game was at least five thousand people and they were waiting for those plays that they could erupt with cheer. This game was a difference-maker in the progression of our high school sports program. I remember the first quarter so well.
"My Football Injury" I could not believe what had happened to me one summer day. All of my dreams shattered for that year and for my future. I was never able to really recover to be the best player, I had been. All I could think about back in those days was being successful at my skilled position; the roar of the crowd; the popularity; I thought I could play the sport I love until I was too old to play it. It was the summer of 1976, my nerves were raging, mainly in my stomach as the butterflies flutter till no end.
We lacked a post up player or for lack of a better term, a “big man.” We needed rebounds, both offensively and defensively if we were to even have a shot at beating the well known, “Triple Threat.” They were made up of Michael Butler, Cody Brown, and Ian Cohen. Our team made it through the trenches to get this point and we weren’t losing without a fight. The three of us stood in a huddle only twenty feet away from our enemy bench. Waiting for the action to begin, the crowd chattered amongst themselves as we waited for the whistle to mark the start of the game. The three of us look at each other and I can see the intensity on my teammates’ faces.
We open up for Old Say brook high school the score was 45-0 and yes we were the winners. The whole season was just about that; Hyde the winners and the opponents the losers. We made it all the way to be the number one seed in the class s state playoffs. We went through the whole regular season undefeated, but that last game which was the first playoff game we lost not because they were better but because we were not focused on the task at hand. To be honest I do not take losing easy but when it was all over I have to say this was a character builder it tells me to stay focused and when on a team I need to pull my teammates a long with
