They also have to change beliefs and principles in order to survive. One major change is in Robyn, at the start of the novel she refuses to pick up a gun, let alone kill someone. But when she is faced with saving her friends she pushes all her fears and her faith away, and shoots the invaders. Robyn, in an extreme effort to help Lee was able to pick up a whole photocopier and move it out of the way, she then picked him up and was able to take him to a safer place. This took a lot of courage and shows that the human spirit will triumph when put in a difficult situation.
From the time that Raymond is first introduced, the reader sees that he is involved in numerous illegal activities, but is left to wonder why Meursault would agree to be ‘pals’ with him. One comes to realize that Meursault really does not care how others lead their lives. Raymond casually admits that he beats his girlfriend and asks Meursault what he thinks about the situation to which he responds just as casually, “…I didn’t think anything, but that it was interesting”(30). Meursault does not judge those who lead bad lives because he is a stranger to remorse and forethought alike and sees no reason that anyone else should be acquainted with them either. Also in the years before and after the Revolutionary War were very exciting in a sense that before the war, the States were still succeeding from England and building colonies and communities in this country. As well as afterwards there were still people who supported the King of England and would turn their neighbors over for treason, acting like spies, even after the fighting had ended. Point two: The man Rip Van Winkle, the main character, in this story was loved by all and was a respected man about town, except for with his wife. All the dogs and children loved him and the citizens all new him by name. They were his friends.
Mr. Rochester, being the first man who Jane has fallen in love with makes him a big hero in my mind. Aside from Mr. Rochester falling in love with Jane Eyre he wanted to make her his mistress. To many people including Jane this is a very selfish thing to do. But, his love for Jane was unconditional and he didn’t want to lose her. He was willing to do whatever he can to marry her putting all of his political reasons aside from him.
When odyseus disguises himself as a beggar while he is home again shows much intelligence. This is so because his once ruled land with all his people loving him is now filled with enemies. Also his return might be too sudden that people might not believe him, so he must prove in a way that it is truly him. This is proven in the The Odyssey when the epic says, “Because his home is full of enemies, she advises him to proceed disguised as a beggar” This is found in The Odyssey Page 32 Lines 2-3. This quote shows that Odyseus uses his intelligence to protect himself from his enemies, and to think of a way to convince penelope that it is him, and not anyone fake.
But I want to point one girl out that has left a huge impact on my life. Kenzie. You have been my number one supporter, a best friend, and a teammate. After every game I could not wait to get a text from you telling me what I did well and how much you loved me. I don’t think you understand how much you have mentally helped me this year.
This is because of their father’s mindset to keep Bianca away from sex, drugs and alcohol. So Cameron takes up French to be able to get closer to her. Meanwhile, he and his newfound friend Michael devise a plan to get the intimidating and mysterious Patrick Verona to date Kat for a sum of money. The play’s plot is adjusted a lot to fit the modern society of today, but nonetheless the plots are the same. This is very appealing to the teenagers of our days as it incorporates things we see everyday, for example, overprotective fathers, opposite sex attractions, hot teenage stars.
CHARACTER TRAIT ESSAY THE HUNGER GAMES Dealing with a traumatic experience early in life can form a person’s path for their future. However, even though one suffers trauma there is always hope, one can always overcome any obstacle and come out of the experience as a stronger person. He then meats the latest tribute, Katnis and Peeta, and feels hopeful that they actually have a chance.

Cordelia takes on this role by unconditionally loving her father and furthermore forgiving Lear for banishing her, which is seen when she says “No cause, no cause.” (4.7). Edgar takes on a similar role by forgiving his father for going against him when he was tricked by Edmund and taking care of Gloucester in his blindness at the end of the play. The other characters, however, give into temptation and sin more frequently. Pride, for example, is a prominent sin that affects many characters, Lear being a prime example. Lear's pride keeps him from listening to the advice of Kent, the king's most loyal follower, after he banishes Cordelia and admitting he may have been wrong.
