It is important that coaches understand what values they wish to instill in their athletes. By working as a team you can gain valuable knowledge from those who are more experienced than you, but it also allows you to suggest newer and fresher ways to approach learning. Each member or person has their own skill and expertise, communicating with them helps you to learn, build up your own knowledge and know your own responsibilities.By working as a team you will also learn to trust and respect your colleagues, build relationships and build your own confidence. Problems can be shared and solutions can be discussed or suggested. You can learn new skills, take better responsibility of your own role and achieve your end goal more effectively. Teamwork sets a good example to others especially children and shows them they are surrounded by people who they can trust and respect.When adults are working effectively together and are working as part of a team, the children will see them as role models and will follow, copy and mimic what they see, To a parent this shows that the school are setting a good
At this point in their lives I believe the players would be more receptive of the training and understand why you work so hard in practice. 3. How do you define success? I don’t define success with wins or losses. I define success by how many players learn something not just about the sport but about life lessons.
From this, my students will be able to express their individuality and I can help them develop this. I want my student athletes to be unique and, with that in mind, possess unique skills as it pertains to sports. I believe that if student athletes possess a firm understanding of who they are as individuals and what they are capable of, and then they can truly develop their individual style(s) of play. This in turn can help lead to team unity and can establish a team spirit within all the student athletes that can lead to camaraderie and ultimately, success. With each problem solved or goal achieved, excitement grows within the team and a sense of accomplishment is felt once the process is completed (Bethea, Holland, & Reddick 2014). Highly effective teams are also proficient at the process of self –evaluation. These collaborations learn from each experience, gaining knowledge and skills to address the next challenge or situation. A collaboration’s honest critiquing of the care process encourages growth and leads to an even more effective team. #2 Effective collaborations though can only form if there are effective members on the team.
JROTC builds team work and helps you build responsibilities. You always have to put in effort to get a good outcome. You have to come motivated to class, or you won't achieve many things. JROTC motivates teens to become better citizens. The program gives you challenges and opportunities to become a better citizen.

With this new student athletic training program students will have another opportunity to get involved in sports even if they aren’t actually participating in the sport itself. It helps me figure out what I need to do to become a better player, but also a better person. It tests my ability to work hard through adversity, take constructive criticism, and challenge myself to push harder and to strive for greatness. I take tremendous pride in my work ethic, and it shows when I’m on the field. I stay focused from start to finish, learn from my mistakes quickly, and I accept my responsibilities that are handed down to me from coaches and my team. Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.” This is how I treat everyday.
