Paraphrasing A lot of people are now becoming concerned that we are separating ourselves from each other by the way we communicate. It seems as though we “talk” and keep in touch more than ever by using technology. We “talk by texting-mail and social media were we share freely with friend’s family and some people we don’t really know at all. It seems as though common conversation face to face is becoming extinct. Are all of technology advances really helping us communicate? I chose to paraphrase the first paragraph. I think it is the most important because it sets the tone for the reader and tells the direction the author is headed. Summarizing Technology has seemingly brought us all closer together than ever. We can now connect with anyone almost anywhere with the click of a button. No longer must we bother with the hassles of days gone by like actually having to go visit someone or call a house phone. It’s a rare thing to do when you have five children. I was starving and decided to eat at Bob Evans because I had never been there before. I was accompanied only by my smart phone. I decided instead of sitting at a table alone I would try the breakfast counter with other people dinning alone, it was a brave move. I wanted to see would people actually have a conversation with me. To my right sat a man my age he was busy with his face book but to my left a older gentleman in his eighties. Throughout the entire time I was there no one spoke except my and Mr. Vanleir. He was very informative about the state of West Virginia and gave me lots of ideas of things to do while I was there. It is these random conversations information and people that we are letting fall between the cracks of our everyday
