This was probably the first book I read that I found myself to be totally enthralled with, I sat down and started reading and got lost in the words. He was admitted to the ICU and the family was told that he would not be going home, at least not in human form. The diagnosis was Cancer. He had several very large tumors that had metastasized throughout his body. The pain he had been dealing with for months was unimaginable and so unfair. I often wonder if he would still be here if only the cancer would have been caught in the early stages.
