Lunch is an important meal of the day and many children eat it at school. It helps our bodies and brains grow and develop into the way that they are supposed to by boosting our metabolism and giving us energy for the rest of the day. But it's probably one of the biggest problems in schools throughout America. We are told to eat healthy and good but we cannot always do that with the choices we have at the school. Students are being fed unhealthy lunches at school cafeterias simply because it is cheaper to produce unhealthy processed foods so alternatives and healthier food go away.
But I was shocked to see all of them actually show up. Allie Weinstock, Sarah Gaines, Katie Cucuz and Daniel Casselli all said “that they enjoyed waking up late, eat breakfast, and not being late to school.” Katie said “that she would actually come to school every day and not get signed out early.” Can you imagine how many students would actually come to school on time? Less tardy’s and sign out’s would save Plant so much paper. Sarah said “it would be a great
And who do you think we text? Our friends. So if we were given the chance to text during passing periods and at lunch it will cut down on all the students being late because they were talking with there friends. If they were given the chance to text I bet the first thing they
Everyone can choose what they like to eat. As a high school student, I think one is old enough to make their own decisions, they should know what’s good for them and what’s not, and everyone should be responsible for their body. Plus, having junk food isn’t always bad, you just have to portion out the amount of junk food takes in per day. For example, you had a lot of French fries, burgers, soda, and ice cream for lunch, then you might want to choose something like an apple or a banana for snack in the afternoon. It is also very important to know how to make good decisions, and by choosing what you want to eat gives us a great opportunity to learn.
Lunch is the biggest meal of the day and a time for the family to gather together. After lunch they nap or do other family activities then return to work at about four o'clock when it’s cooler. In America we are too busy and consumed with time to stop working and eat lunch with our families. We do not leave work to go home and take a nap or do other
In contrast college is completely different. I now eat with different people every day. None of them attend the same classes that I do. There is no basketball court outside, so I cannot go and play basketball like in high school. I see some friends during my lunch break, but it is only for a brief moment, so I do not have time to sit and have a conversation like I would in the past.
95% of high schoolers have said that their lunches are absolutely delicious. While middle schoolers complain about having crust , cold meat and frozen milk. Betty Croplin of Gary Middle School, states that her lunch constantly has mold on it and it is never up to date. Even though high schoolers say that their lunch is better, it's actually true. In high school, lunch is more expensive, and well known fast food companies sell their products at local high schools.
In the book, Bloom said “it’s easier for today’s children to waste food because they are so removed from its origins.” The reason why we waste food easily is we don’t have the chance to plant, water, or nurse the plants by ourselves, so we don’t know how hard it is to plant and grow the food. After reading this book, I feel so sorry for what I did every day by wasting my food and I have decided to do something better such as ordering less amount of food and take any leftovers home and cook them with other ingredients to make them into new dish, instead of throwing them into the trash can. If we can continue doing this, food wastes can be decreased. Also, we should care about our environment by not tossing the food into the trash because wasting food can negatively impact our environment, which will reduce our natural resources. For
Upon dismissal prisoners are instructed to grab a boxed lunch for their next meal. Again those that do not make it to breakfast do not get lunch. Does this seem ethical that even though a person who commited a will miss two meals in a day just for not waking up in the morning? Prisoners are mandated to participate in a educational program. These range from earning credits to get a High School diploma to learning a trade or working in the kitchen.
First of all every student needs a motivation to get a higher education after high school, but the question is how are students going to stay motivated throughout the semester? Motivation is a reason or reasons someone has for acting or behaving a particular way, the willingness or desire to do something. My motivation is simply thinking of how many more options I’m going to have once I finish college and get my degree. It helps when I don’t look at college as a whole four year boring thing, but instead just try taking it a semester at a time. I worked in burger king this pasted year, and was only earning $8.00 dollars an hour for part-time.
