One such case is that of Boxer, ‘an enormous beast’ who was ‘as strong as any two ordinary horses put together’. This horse’s own ignorance and loyalty lead to his death at the hands of Napolean, the animal Boxer was most loyal to. Boxer does not enjoy dwelling on his own dilemmas and so allows the pigs to decide for him. Thus he adopts two maxims, ‘I must work harder’ and Napolean is always right’. His stupidity blocks him from realising that he could rally all the farm animals to rebel against the tyrannical pigs.
Suddenly all animals rebel their situation and a new period start for animal. After this we see the contest between Napoleon and snowball. Both of them try to become the head of animal farm that’s why their contest start. They abuse animals in that way.First of all animalism is something new for that poor animals. They lived in very harsh conditions and they belive things is gonna change in the farm. Both Napoleon and snowball know that these animals are fool and they seek for the ways how they can use them especially Napoleon.Actually this reality is valid sor all the pigs in farm. They know that ıf they like they can command that poor animals as they wish.Yet Napoleon and snowball is different from other pigs because they are the head so one of them should be the leader no one of them gives up. why on earth they give up instead of commanding and keeping their life as they wish.
This book is about a bunch of animals that chased their farmer out of the farm and decided to run the farm themselves. It all begins with a boar named Old Major that had a dream of animals roaming free in the plains, free of human control. After Old Major dies, three pigs named Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer work together to help his dream come true. Everything goes well at first but corruption is slowly seen in greater degrees throughout the book. This book is symbolic to the Soviet Union, which was a communist state.
He presents power to be abused through the character of Mr Jones, who represents Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, the last Tsar of Russia whom the Russian public rebelled against. Mr Jones was the neglectful, lazy, tyrannical owner of Manor Farm, before the animals overthrew him by a democratic coalition of animals as the Russian public did Tsar Nicholas II. He was an alcoholic, which is expressed as he was ‘too drunk’ to take proper care of the hen-houses, and the verbs ‘lurched’ and ‘kicking’ that are used to describe him highlight his carelessness and negligence towards his responsibility to the animals. Similarly, Tsar Nicholas II left his citizens living in poverty to starve whilst he lived a privileged life. The animals describe Mr Jones and the humans as ‘parasitical’, which suggests he uses the animals to his convenience and not to any benefit to the animals, and that though he had power, Mr Jones relied on the animals to keep him in business.
In Animal Farm, the author, George Orwell, shows how “Absolute power corrupts absolutely!” For instance, the first sign of corruption is shown by Farmer Jones ill treatment of the animals. He is a drunken man whose life is poorly living. He works his animals to the last pulp, whips them for the fun of it because in his mind he is the one in charge and who they must obey and he feeds them the minimum rations of food. Farmer Jones is neither considerate nor passionate for his animals and it is noticed that he only tends to the animals because of the profit he is receiving. The first thing he does is drink whiskey and polishes bottle after bottle then he attempts to tend to the care of his animals which is performed poorly.
He uses animals instead of human beings and places his animals in human situations. Old Major, a wise boar, gave a speech which stirred up the revolution on Animal Farm, in his speech he mentioned the many vices attributed to mankind such as: • Man only cares for his kind - Mankind is selfish and he isn’t concerned about the animals he exploits. • Consuming without producing – Man consumes the animals produce and lives off it, without producing anything themselves. • Men are tyrants – they are ruthless and cruel, once an animal isn’t able to produce it will be slaughtered. • Selfishness – Men barely give animals enough food to keep healthy, just the bare minimum.
As the animals are against the humans may internally change when the common enemy is eliminated and the next oppressor takes total control. In the case of the animals after the farmer gets kicked out the pigs take total control and claim themselves to be the leader because they are the brain workers. The pigs begin to make a nice charter of rights that gives freedom to all animals and states that all animals are equal and animals shall never become like humans. As time passes the pigs start breaking the rules that they created and began to secretly change them, as they did this they became more and more like humans and started to treat the working class of animals poorly. All the hard work that the animals did was profited by the pigs and all the pigs did was eat a lot of food and have lot of whiskey
Animal Farm 1954 – Movie Analysis Animal Farm, produced by Halas and Batchelor in 1954 was adapted from George Orwell’s novel which entitled the same name. The animated film centered on animal’s reign over themselves after they had overthrown their drunken master, Mr. Jones. The revolution began shortly after Old Major’s speech before he collapsed in the middle of the “Beast of England” song. His words were so powerful that the animals dared to rebel against their master after they were left unfed for one day since Mr. Jones was badly drunk. They destroyed everything that was used by Mr. Jones to torture them and changed the farm’s name from Manor Farm to Animal Farm.
By describing the depressing life of Jurgis, the protagonist of this novel, and his family, Sinclair reveals the ugly side of capitalism. According to Darwin's theory, "survival of the fittest" is the principle of animal evolution. In The Jungle, these working-class people associate with animals for they endlessly compete and fight for living. Their living and working conditions, in the readers' eyes, are considered awful; they work slavishly like animals, yet are even unable to achieve what they dream of. Living appears to be a luxury for these poor workers; their American dream is deformed.
Language Used at Animal Farm Don’t you hate it when your farm animals revolt against you? Animal Farm, by George Orwell is the story of animals who revolt against their lazy farmer in hopes of achieving a better life-style, but instead receive a life of pain and suffering; a dictatorship that they never thought possible. In Animal Farm, Snowball, Squealer, and Old Major all used language to persuade the animals, in their own ways, using knowledge, lies, and platitudes, respectively. First off, Snowball used knowledge to persuade the animals. Snowball and Napoleon were debating, “…Snowball often won by his brilliant speeches, but Napoleon was better at canvassing support for himself between times.” (53).
