The Obama Plan and Health Care Innovations In this great age of technology innovations are what we thrive on. They help to run our economy, better our communities along with our health and the ease in which we live. It is almost impossible to expect anything to stay the same for long. Innovation is a term we use so very often in our society. It is described as a new idea, method or device that ultimately makes the lives of those that use it to be more efficient. Insurance companies will now be required to offer reasonable rates to all subscribers making their insurability much more probable than ever before. Along with this new requirement, insurance companies will not be allowed to exclude people because of pre-existing conditions nor will they be able to place limits on the treatments they may be required. This is imperative in ensuring that patients are receiving proper treatment until they are healthy, instead of simply discarding them when they are no longer capable of paying for help. Others that may not be able to pay for health care are those that are under the age of 30. In America it is not uncommon for people in their 20’s to still be in school, which would disallow them to work full-time to afford coverage. So a major affect of the plan makes it possible for young adult under the age of 27 to remain on their parents’ health insurance. It also ensures that group health insurance plans make it more accessible to employees and require all individuals to be accountable for obtaining some type of health care. It also makes sure to benefit those people who regularly wouldn’t attend physician’s offices’ because of income, while reducing the profit physicians will receive. These types of standards will help to regulate the way our health care
