Now you are left with a financial burden of a major illness and we all know that it can be very devastating. I believe that health care should not only be offered but it should be made affordable for everyone. The U.S should immediately adopt the universal healthcare because it will benefit us all and make life easier for everyone. As of today health care has become a controversial topic. After decades of failed attempts by democratic presidents; president Obama finally signed the health care reform in March 2010.
Organization will not always agree because of a different in perspectives. However, from a strategic standpoint moving forward is equally beneficial for all political and special groups involved in health care planning. When it comes to health care there is no one size fits all solutions, and the same can be said for health care policy. With Germany and the United Kingdom having been at it this for about a century, producing a legacy of contentious policy disputes (www.who.int). However, no one said this would be easy, now that we have transnational organizations like the world health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank that help accelerate the learning curve by identifying promising political or legal polices to help aid health care policy throughout the world.
Obama Care is all about fixing some of the flaws we have in our health care system, and making health care affordable for the public. Although we are the richest country in the world no many of us could afford necessary operations such as covering hospital bills for intensive care surgeries for ill babies, or bypass surgeries for coronary patients (Lawrence R. Wu, 001). If the plan goes into effect there will be decisions made by many to seek preventative care; that before it didn’t have health insurance and wouldn’t take the chance of being turned away or racking up medical expenses. Health care has become extremely unaffordable for both businesses and individuals. The number of uninsured U.S. residents has grown to over 45 million people. If we had universal health care doctors wouldn’t have to worry about medical costs, only helping the patient. Another plus with universal health care is that Patients with pre-existing conditions can still get health coverage. Countries that have a universal health care system in place have a longer lifespan.
America has their reservations that a universal health may not work because of its lack of choices and freedoms. There are pros and cons to having a universal health care system. For one, a universal health care offers free health services to people that cannot afford health care the services they need. The cons, is that a universal health care system often results in long wait times for patients and not everyone may receive the type of care that they need. The rising cost of health care has cause the government to step in and control regulations and spending; thus creating a health care reform system.
Instead of debating whether or not health care should be universal, the U.S. should be debating on which venues to take to guarantee that all of its citizens have the right to health care. Health care should be considered a basic right not a luxury reserved for the wealthy and the struggling middle class that is able to afford some of it. Human life has greater value than money. Although health care is a universal need, unfortunately not all citizens are able to afford it. Not to mention government has proved that it's difficult to balance the healthcare budget; and the costs of medical healthcare is steadily increasing. Should we as Americans be totally responsible for our own health costs and eliminate private insurance? Or should we have an encompassing healthcare system which provides free service for all?
However, working adults can use the benefits of the medical insurance, which will give them an opportunity for a decent medical service and reduce the general taxation burden. The issue of health care throughout the years has been a major issue in the society in the United States and it is one of the most important aspects of an election campaign of any political party. One issue concerning healthcare is that it is very expensive and more than 52 million people do not have any coverage or they have less adequate coverage. In addition, it is very important for people to have coverage for general healthcare maintenance and just in case, something drastic occurs, in their life. A well-organized, efficient health care system is not that easy to provide and one of the key problems on the way to the ideal hospitals and medical help is proper funding.
They could solve the problem by not requiring the students to take tests in PE. According to Illinois law, the main goal of having daily physical education is to “enhance our health and well-being.” So why do they teachers give out tests when the students could be doing activities that would keep them active. Teachers could easily stop giving the students written tests and keep them active. If schools would do this they could help student be in shape. Physical Education classes should make class fun for the students instead of making it work for the students.
Public Schooling vs. Home Schooling Many parents desire for their children to gain the best education they can to become successful in life. Home schooling becomes an option to parents who feel that a public school education can hinder their children to becoming well established in the world. Parents often make these decisions based on opinions from the media, newspapers, and gossip where they can often hear the "wonderful" things about home schooling like providing the student with more hands-on opportunities and the ability to move at a comfortable pace for the student. In home schooling there is no comprehension of being bounded to public school calendars and how school can take place anywhere and anytime. Public school is better than home schooling because public school mentally prepares students for the real world; giving students knowledge on how to deal with bullying and peer pressure, and also allowing them to interact with different students and teachers.
