How close did the world come to nuclear war? Why did the world avoid nuclear war? The world was very close to having a nuclear war. The Soviet Union had nuclear missiles in Cuba targeting 90,000 Americans. With that in mind, America also had missiles in Turkey targeting the Soviet Union.
This is why I think we shouldn’t have nukes in some countries of the world. There could be a potential world war III all from one nuke. For example the launching of a big out right war using nuclear war heads against Iran has activated drawing boards of the pentagon since 2005. Since 2005 we have been at war with Iran. This has turned into a pre world war three shaking countries all over the world.

I will be talking about President Reagan’s Doctrine and some of what happened during his administration. President Reagan was our 40th President (Jan.1981-Jan.1989). During his time in office, the United States used their diplomatic resources to stop Soviet expansionism in the developing world. President Reagan wanted to overthrow pro-Soviet regimes, so his administration focused on supporting proxy armies to stop the Soviet influence (Roskin, 1999, p. 58). One of President Reagan’s biggest achievements was the end of the Cold War.
Now we have one remaining bullet that has to account for the remaining seven wounds in Kennedy and Connally. Rather than investigating further, or admitting to anything, the Warren Commission decided to close the case. One of the biggest lies forced on the American people ever before. The single bullet to account for seven wounds is known as the Magic Bullet Theory. A 6.5 millimeter rifle bullet shot from the sixth floor of the Depository passed through President Kennedy’s neck and Governor Connally’s chest and wrist and then submerged itself in the Governor’s thigh.

During World War II, The Manhattan Project was undergoing. This project was to create a bomb so strong, that it would force the Japanese to surrender. The Atomic bomb is a fission bomb, which means the atomic nuclei of the two elements, uranium or plutonium, are splitting into multiple nuclei. This also produces neutrons in the process which creates a larger chain reaction. As these nuclei are getting hit with the neutrons, they react, split again, and let off more nuclei.
The island of Okinawa was the closest island to the Japanese mainland, and the last island battle. Many higher-ups believed that Okinawa could be seen as a trial for an invasion of Japan, yet before the native soil of Japan could be assaulted, atomic bombs were dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. To what extent did the Battle of Okinawa affect the U.S.’s decision to deploy the atomic bomb? The decision to drop the bomb was solely up to the President of the United States at that time, Harry S. Truman. With the bomb came advances in technology, the possibility to end millions of lives, and the beginnings of the Cold War.
In 2002 it was revealed that Iran had been conducting nuclear experiments in secret facilities where it was found to be enriching uranium and producing heavy water, both associated with the production of nuclear weapons. Soon after this was revealed Iran stopped it’s secret nuclear research, however in 2006 it restarted it’s enrichment processes which peaked in 2010 at which point it was producing 20% enriched fuel. This alarmed the members of the UN security council who had previously instructed Iran to stop it’s enrichment processes, as it mean Iran could potentially have weapons grade uranium within a year. [23] When it was revealed that Iran
Nuclear power has been use in the last hundred years for the manufacture of nuclear weapons like A-Bombs (atomic bombs) and H-Bombs (hydrogen bombs). Nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction. A single weapon is capable of destroying an entire city. In he history of warfare nuclear weapons have been used on two occasions, both during the World War II in Hiroshima when a devise called 'Little Boy' was dropped and then three days later one in Nagasaki called 'Fat Man'. It is a good idea to possess nuclear weapons if you are a 'Super Power'.
