Marche also continues to state how the pace at which we receive information of events is becoming more immediate and from almost anywhere. He gives us the example of when news of when a building in Toronto caught fire. Instead of waiting the following day to read about it in the paper, he chose to read his Twitter on his phone for updates. This new age of technology has devalued the meaning of material once greatly appreciated such as the daily news paper or a book. A modern books value does not compare to that of a book that had taken the time and effort of someone to craft it, because of technology a book can be multiplied hundreds of times but at the same time taking from it devaluing it when compared to the original.

Book Review: Contagious; Why Things Catch On Abstract With the rise of the internet, the term viral has become its own definition and has itself, become viral. Even with today’s version, social epidemics have been around as long as society itself. The phenomenon is interesting in its own right as it says something how we interact. To understand how social epidemics work, it can hold a great value because when something goes viral the effect has a big impact on behavior and the bottom line of an item. Understanding why something goes viral is straightforward enough as it has to be something that has an impact and people are eager to talk about or imitate; for example the recent ice bucket challenge or Harlem shake.
Now there are also some empathetic tools that Facebook has for Facebook user for social networking. So in my opinion I would say that it really needs to have some empathetic tools in Facebook to make some feelings in users mind about their post. There are so many points to hold about with reason, I am holding with a point. According to Mr. Bejar, “The way our brain work, we have evolve to understand each other by tone of voice or seeing facial expressions, but that gets lost through the devices we use to communicate.” I am strongly appreciated with this because it’s very true nowadays. When we talk with people in real face to face we can show so many expressions also we can share our feelings by our expression as well but in Facebook it’s all about commenting and posting that can never make others feel what and how and which way we feel that time.
