Native American Culture and Tradition Native Americans were very spiritual people who believed that herbal remedies, dances and chants would heal the sick and keep you healthy for years to come. Below are several things that pertain to the Native American Culture. Dance Dancing was a very important part in Native American communities. Individuals danced for many events and ceremonies. Marriage ceremony, were usually very fun and many communities in many areas recognized the collect. One of the most essential plants was maize, so the maize collect was often recognized through dancing. Usually people danced and chanted to the beats of the drum. Flow such as a constant dance was also used in many events such as the Sun dancing and the Rainfall dancing. Local Individuals in America considered that men and women should live in balance with individual characteristics and you cure by coming back to individuals with balance. Most of the communities had special "medicine" men and women who did the treatment. Sometimes they are called shamans. They used plenty of different natural herbal plants to cure. These natural herbal plants were often set as tea, but sometimes they were used and the fumes was a heal bot. They also did cleansing or purification. They did this most often in the perspire villa. This villa is like spa. They were small homes in which they used plank or cedar. They were used over the rocks which would get hot. Then they would toss water on to make Hot Steam. Local Individuals in America considered that the smoke and steam will clean off their illnesses. Local Individuals in America also had plenty of events that were about treatment.
