My most valuable influence Since I was born there has always been a person in my life that since the first day has loved me, taken care of me, and has been my number one role model. Not only because of the fact that she is my mother, but the thought of how much she had to do to make me who I am today, her incredible personality and love for her family , made her the most valuable influence in my life. Throughout her 38 years of life, my mom has had to experience and overcome easy and hard times just like anyone else. But what really sets her apart from everyone, is the way and circumstances in which she had to learn how to be a strong and wise woman. As a young, single mother, she felt that she had to fight a world full of disappointments and mistakes all by herself but those moments are what made her the brave woman she is today. Not being able to finish her computer major and receiving all types of judgments for being a young mom, are some examples of the negative things she had to go through but that at the end she used for inspiration to better her life and mine. Growing up next to my mom I understood how hard life can get, but if you find the right source of inspiration you’ll be able to overcome anything and that has become one of the mottos of my life. Another reason why she has been a major influence in my life is because her personality and the effect she has on other people. My mom has always been humble, responsible, organized, and not materialistic at all. But what I appreciate the most is how she puts other people before herself and the things she wants. This last characteristic has made other people come back to her for help, advice, and a person who they can trust. I want to follow her example and be the same, learn how to be put my wishes aside and naturally want to help others not because someone else told me to. For example in one of
