Brett Yasui Power and Gory Will and determination can get you anywhere you want in life. In “Power and Gory”, Michalik showed that with determination you can achieve anything. Determination and will is that little fire that burns deep inside of you, telling you to keep on going and move forward; never give up. He used feelings and emotion in his life to fuel his fire in order to keep moving forward, even at the brink of death. His determination is what drove him to continue to move forward towards his goal in life: To get strong.
Looking back upon the day when my life truly changed forever I wouldn’t change a thing; I see the world differently than others. I cherish each and every moment I have here with my family and friends. I believe I cherish all those small moments in life just a little more than people who have never had to live a day with a chronic illness. There are moments within our lives that shape the road to where we are going. I truly believe there are imperative moments in our lives that can change us in just an instant.

We should all live life to the fullest. Set aside all issues and stress. Thinking before acting can help me make wise decisions. However, some disadvantages would be that I can have a lot less fun in life. There will be experiences that I will miss out on. I learned to stay strong and never allow my fear to limit me. I am always determined to complete the task at hand. Anything I put my mind to I believe I can do. The only person that can stand in my way is me. I take people feeling into consideration more than I take my own.
Forgiveness is more powerful than hatred, and love and hope is more powerful than any weapon of war. The hero’s journey is one that appeals to a universal audience, regardless of your own context, because we, as humans, all have the capacity to be a hero. We all have challenges in our life we need to overcome and this then brings realisation and growth. Every step of the way, we learn something about ourselves and the world around us. As a primitive emotion of humanity, we all strive to be successful, to be happy.

Dubose take on an unwinnable challenge and they are aware of their own limitations. But still they proceed to fight the battle that they will lose in the end. Atticus takes a case that is impossible to win but hopes to win the appeal, Mrs. Dubose gets rid of the addiction, but she knows that she going to die. Atticus, like Mrs. Dubose, also knows just winning Tom’s appeal will not win the war of racism. Atticus’ courage shows to be more moral in the book because he is doing this for everyone and not just himself.
It says that I care about safety and security of people I love, such as family members, friends and others. It is very true since I would love to get things done as much as possible for them, and make sure that everything runs smoothly in their daily lives. I would spend my whole day doing things for a person without the need of anything in return. Even though I make myself feel that I am stupid, I always want to do over and over again for people in order to help them whenever they need me. I love to take responsibility when people can rely on me; thus whenever I could not accomplish it, I blame it on myself.
