For my museum report I chose to visit the Bowers Museum in Garden Grove California. The gallery that was my favorite by far was the gallery representing early California. Inside this gallery there were a few dozen paintings of what California used to look like before the industrialization that we have today. That’s when I noticed “South Sierra Lake” by Edgar Alwin Payne. Being an avid outdoorsman this painting spoke to me like none of the others, it reminded me of all the memorable days I’ve spent backpacking through the Sierra Nevada mountains with my friends.

Each class’ yearbook is a snapshot of history kept for generations to come. Personally, I enjoy browsing through my parents’ annuals from years past. I would be honored to be a member of the Marion High School yearbook staff because I wish to use my talents to help my school create this book of lifetime memories. One reason I think yearbook is suitable for me, out of all the other activities, is because I have a true love for photography. I could honestly spend hours taking photos and would enjoy every single second of it!
The elderly and the disabled people can use wilderness trails. Specifically, many trails in our state’s undefended wilderness areas are flat, wide, and perfect for families with young children, the elderly, or those who desire a less challenging form of wild recreation. As we can see, our families deserve to have a picnic and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine digging in the dirt, side by side with our friends. We can’t
Becoming a Conservation Police Officer Throughout my life I have called the wild of mother nature's outdoors my home away from home. Growing up, hunting and fishing have been of my favorite activities. Through this I have found a love and attraction to Virginia's great outdoors. During my time spent outdoors I have encourntered many different Conservation Police Officers(CPO). Around five years ago, I found myself greatly attracted to the idea of becoming a CPO.
In 1973, as smithson was headed to a survey site for his latest work, the Amarillo Ramp, his plane crashed and he was killed at the age of 35. Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, is not only his most famous work of art, but also happens to be one of the earliest and most widely known examples of land art. Located in the Great Salt Lake, the Spiral Jetty creates the visualization of spinning while also standing still, which is the natural feeling that Smithson recieved from the lake, and therefore inspired his design. He was drawn to the area because of its beauty and the pinkish red hue color found in the lake. Smithson’s first
Doing this project has opened my eyes up to a county in Pennsylvania called Armstrong County. I had never even heard of the name, let alone know what kinds of things are there. I noticed that the county has a lot of nature sittings. That is the main reason why I choose this county. It looked very alive with all the colorful leaves.
I enjoy anything ranging from self-portraits to wild life and back all the way to architectural photos. Because of this, I decided upon Art; not to be confused with the area of art. Art Wolfe was born on September 13, 1951 in Seattle, Washington (artwolfe.com). Now here comes the funny part. According to Global Gallery, when Wolfe was a young boy, he dreamed of being a famous painter and not a photographer!
Life Styles Inventory Evaluation Sue Fernandez GM591 Professor: Marco Faggione May 13, 2012 Personal Thinking Styles My results from the LSI test shows my primary thinking style is affiliative and my backup is conventional. I believe these personal styles are an accurate fit of my personality. Since affiliative means being cooperative, friendly, and has a genuine concern for others and conventional describes someone who values policies and practices, it fits my personal and work life. While I was college I worked for an optometrist selling eye ware to patients. I realized then that I loved helping people and trying to meet their needs was a challenge that enticed me.
Jake Martin Disney Case Analysis International Marketing 9/26/2013 History Until 1992, the Walt Disney Company had experienced nothing but success in the theme park business. It’s first park, Disneyland, opened in Anaheim, California, in 1955. The Disney characters that everyone knew from the cartoons and comic books were on hand to shepherd the guests and to direct them to the Mickey Mouse watches and Little Mermaid records. The Anaheim Park was an instant success. In the 1970s, the triumph was repeated in Florida, and in 1983, Disney proved the Japanese also have an affinity for Mickey Mouse with the successful opening of Tokyo Disneyland.
