Final Creative Art Project Paper A great landscape photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams wholly inspired my artwork. I have been particularly fascinated by nature since my parents frequently took me out on nature trails as a child. My interest in nature grew up with me as I find my peace of mind among the lush greenery of the woods. This made trekking my favorite outdoor activity. Nothing in the world for me can be compared to the beauty of sunrise where the red sun transforming into golden shines its rays over the humongous ice covered mountains, green trees and fast flowing transparent river. Born on February 20th, 1902 in San Francisco, California, Ansel was more into piano than photography but a visit to Yosemite National Park changed his mind. He was enthralled with the beauty of nature. His first major success was Monolith, the Face of Half Dome that led to a myriad of commercial assignments. Apparently, the area of photography experienced major difference as well during the early twentieth century. The straight technique was one of Ansel’s specialties, which focused on being down-to-earth and objective. Also as an interpretive artist, he combined his two expertise- photography and music- to portray a completely unique perspective. Such a remarkable imagination of Mr. Adams completely mesmerizes me. I feel that at a certain point I could relate his work to my day-to-day life or how someone would try to scrutinize a different point of view to resolve an issue. Also he was a good-natured person with kind motives to conserve the wilderness areas from industrialization. After coming back home to Mumbai, I spent a lot of time with my best friend Tanvi, who aspires to become a photographer and owns a DSLR camera, explained me all the technical terms of photography.
