A Created Myth of Henry Ford Barry R. Stewart HUM 105 World Mythology April 25, 2013 Dacia Robertson A Created Myth of Henry Ford In the beginning (Leonard & McClure, 2004, p. 29), after the earth was formed about 1885 (Articels, B.Cawthon, October, 2001), there was a creator named Henry Ford. Henry woke up one morning, after a good night’s sleep with a vision. His vision was to make traveling easy for everyone. Henry started mapping out his vision with a drafted plan of his ideas. Day 1: Henry concluded, that for people to travel easily the surface needed to be smoother, and free of obstacles (trees, rocks even mountains). Henry commanded the land to be free, and so the land became free of obstacles. Henry saw that this was good, and he called this area the road. Day 2: Henry had to figure out how to cross over water (creeks, lakes, and rivers). Henry commanded, let there be crossing, and there became crossing. Henry saw that these crossing were good, and he called them bridges. Day 3: Henry decided that the people should not have to walk on the road or the bridges. Henry commanded let there be something to ride in, and this too became true. He saw that this was good and called this a horse driven cart. Day 4: Henry began to re-think this horse driven cart thing, and decided a cart with a motor driven devise would be better. Henry went back to the drawing broad, and started drafting a motorized cart. Day 5: as Henry was pondering under a mystical tree, the magic from the tree entered his thoughts, which permitted him to visualize the components the motorized cart would need.
