Currently, I am a student at James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell, New Jersey and would like to further my education at Montclair State University for several reasons. First, growing up a few miles from the MSU campus, and with one of my sisters having recently graduated from MSU, I have been exposed to and attended numerous academic, social and athletic activities on campus. I have always been very impressed with the quality of the university’s programs and believe that MSU would be an excellent match for me to further my academic studies, grow as an individual and begin to pursue my career goals. I have visited the school’s website and have seen that Montclair State has received many awards for its education program. Recognizing

One day on a pretty Monday morning when taking my daughter to a doctor’s appointment is when I realized that I must dedicate my life to her and be the best role model I could. In this paper I will discuss how she inspired me and in a moment I pulled myself together that I should fulfill my lifelong dream, make her prod and there is nothing that should stop me.
Why College Education is Important to Me For most individuals, a college education is merely the next step in the road to a successful career. For myself, the importance of a college education is more of a personal goal. Eight years ago, one of the last conversations I had with my mother prior to her passing away was her wish for me to attain my Bachelors Degree; a goal I had made for myself back when I was just entering High School but never attained as planned. I was one of those numbers who contributed to the statistics of having to drop out of college early on due to pregnancy. As a single parent, I had to put my educational goals on the back burner to raising my family.
College 101 Why I chose to attend college: I chose to attend college because I have wanted to for many years now. I have always felt that going to college would help me to be able to fulfill my purpose in life. I have future plans to make a difference in the world, and for me personally I feel that college is a necessity to achieve this. I want to achieve my own personal goals of getting my Associates Degree from Lackawanna, then continuing on at another school to get my Bachelor’s Degree in social work. I have future plans of becoming a counselor or a life coach, I plan to make the final decision on which one when I have had a chance to practice as an intern; That is how I think I will learn better which one is more suitable for me personally.
Why college is important to me By: Monae Rivera Why college is important to me well there are a lot of ways for me to be able to answer that question. For starters my family was the kind of family that always made sure my education was always my main priority. They always pushed me to work harder in everything I would in life I always had plenty of help from teachers, tutors and family members .They wanted to see me be the first member in my family to graduate from college and if that isn’t enough motivation to make college my number one priority then im not sure what else is Now that I am in college I feel very proud of myself for at least getting this far in my life I will be the first person in my family to finish college and if that isn’t enough motivation for college to be important to me I’m not sure what else it would be. When I was high school I always wonder why college would important to me would it be to get a education or to start a new chapter in my life or to meet different people. One thing I never thought about was how hard it would be or how hard it is to balance my life and school work at the same time which I am still trying to get a hang of but I think im doing a pretty good job at it so far.
“Why College Education is Important to Me” Why college education is important to me?’ I strongly believe that having a college education will allow me to reach dreams and set goals that I would never had been able to reach otherwise. I see my friends getting good jobs and pursuing their education and I was a sixteen year old mother with nothing to look forward to. My life have change so much and my goal was to go back to school and complete my education. For the past three years my mother and brothers always encouraged me to continue where I left off. Finally one day I decided to reapply to a secondary school to complete in education. I try looking for a job first to take care of my daughter and pay for my finances but that wasn’t successful.
This is half of who my child will be. P2 I agree with Joan Ryan’s statement “It is the acknowledgement that parents are the ones choosing, and then guiding their children through the outside environment“. The parental figure has so much influence on the path that their child will take through life. For example I was hell bent on not going to college for a year after I graduated from high school I just wanted to get a job and have fun. My Mom made a completely different decision for me, and guided me to college.
