I was in one of their places, their downtown locations, I said “can I just have one the normal way” and they told me I couldn’t. I think they were going to call a cop. But they put the chili on top. We think its to hold everything together. We did talk to another fellow who puts the mustard under the hotdog because he doesn’t want it to interfere with the taste of his chili, which he says is superior.

The result of the 1945 election was a shock to not only the people of Britain but also the parliamentary parties, one of the main reasons thought to have led to Labour’s victory, was Churchill’s radio broadcast, in which he stated socialism could not be established without a ‘Gestapo’. Source one, an extract from Margaret Thatcher’s book, explains her thoughts when listening to Churchill’s 1945 radio broadcast. Thatcher believes Churchill said was correct in what he said, but his use of the word ‘Gestapo’ was inappropriate, and wasn’t particularly helpful for post-war Britain. However it could be argued Thatcher knew that what Churchill said was a mistake, but as she was part of the same conservative party as he was, she couldn’t admit it. Although, she does admit even she was shocked when listening to the speech, as she explains “the line was not believable”.
This enforces the idea that unlike Lennie, she is a complex character in the novel. Steinbeck mentioned that Curley’s wife’s voice had a “nasal, brittle quality” which is a clear sign of her flirtatious behaviour. Although her intentions were flirty, the fact that it was described as ‘nasal’ by the author made it obvious that it was unpleasant to the ears. The reaction from George made it clear to the reader that she was an attractive woman, however he was being apprehensive as he “looked away from her and then back”. This contrasts with Lennies reaction as his “eyes moved down over her body” blatantly checking her out.
Educating ‘without it, as North American high school students are forever being warned, they will be doomed to a work life of “flipping hamburgers.”’ Just because someone is flipping burgers doesn’t mean that they are doomed and unsuccessful, if someone wants to flip burgers their whole life they should do it. People are choosing their careers based on fields with a promising job market and good pay. If you try your hardest, in any field you desire, you will be successful. In addition to trying your hardest be creative add something new to your field really to really get noticed. I believe success is not based on not what you do but

Sarcastic tone I personally think that an "eye for an eye" punishment is called for. Some people don't agree with it, but I don't really care. Lets see somebody find some concentration camp survivors that wouldn't want anyone that had to do with the camps, including "Mr. Hitler", that wouldn't want them all to die a painful death. 1. This is a sarcastic tone because the words are harsh and bitter.
The treaty of Versailles greatly humiliated Germany forcing it to accept soul responsibility for the war. Another fault in this treaty was that it did not work as intended. The idea that Germany could ever afford to pay the reparations to full amount was ludicrous as it was already suffering from the defeat of war. These reparations caused runaway inflation throughout Germany. But perhaps the biggest problem of all was that those who created it themselves did not enforce
Four shows were featured in “Show Business- The Road to Broadway”, including Wicked, Avenue Q, Taboo, and Caroline, or Change. Each production with its own plot and story, which we learn are two very different things. Plot, is the show its self. It refers to the script, and the story that it tells, while the production’s story refers to the road a cast and crew travels while creating and performing a show. Wicked is a musical based off of a novel written by Gregory Maguire, titled “Wicked- The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.” The Novel corresponded with the ever popular story of the Wizard of Oz, but rather than following Dorothy and Glinda, it followed the life of Elphaba, the wicked witch of the west, and her choices.
A reader with even slight knowledge of the Holocaust or of Nazi Germany, would understand that sciences practiced during the Holocaust on prisoners was inhumane and as a whole un-scientific. The fact that some of the same procedures used in a time of moral darkness, were being used in America, is unnerving. The idea that Nazis were eugenically sterilizing thousands of people for the same reasons as Americans should unsettle the reader, making them uncomfortable to condone this behavior. The text “Carrie Buck’s Daughter” by Stephen Jay Gould is a successful persuasive text because Gould uses allusions, intellectual language, comparisons, sarcasm and statistics to provoke the reader’s thoughts and make them want to agree with
