Some advantages of an online survey of a cross section of Internet households are lower costs, instant results, instant updates, and better responses. The disadvantages are that not all households have Internet access, if the survey is sent via email, it may be considered junk mail. Also, some people just fill out the surveys to get the promotional offer and will just fill out anything. The disadvantages in not being able to reach as many individuals due to lack of internet or lack of email accessibility, provides major negative impacts for research.

Some people see this as a mental disorder, however, this is due to people trying to look for a quick fix and not doing the thorough research. I will agree that the way people are thinking is indeed changing, some for the good, but most for the bad as well. Search engines are rerouting our memory. According to one article in Science magazine, we're not necessarily losing our ability to remember things.

Alicia Zapata English 126 October 31, 2012 In the essay, “Are Social Networks Messing with Your Head?,” David DiSalvo convinces his readers that, “as social networks proliferate, they are changing the way people think about the Internet, from a tool used in solitary anonymity to a medium that touches on questions about human nature and identity; who we are, how we feel about ourselves, and how we act toward one another” (501). He bases his argument on multiple psychological research which indicates social networking sites do not cause loneliness, rather it makes those who were lonely prior to social networking lonelier, and for those who are not lonely, social networking sites actually help them continue their online relationships offline, which isn’t a bad thing in that case. It has also been researched that social networking is a self-esteem booster, and is even paving the way for those with narcissist personalities, however, just as it can be a self-esteem booster, social networking has the ability to bring down self-esteem just as fast. DiSalvo also talks about how we are obsessively going online, spending unhealthy amounts of time on social network websites to the point where it starts to become debilitating. The essay concludes with the idea that there is a transformational current going on, and social media is not only changing the way we interact with one another, but it is also affecting our brains, having a psychological effect on us.
Carr thinks that the net makes people dumper because he proved the net makes people scattered and superficial thinkers. I agree with Carr. Until I read this article, I was thinking the internet makes people smarter but the scientific evidence turned my thought. In additional on his thought, I think the net wastes a lot of time of our lives. Carr said that “ People who are continually distracted by emails, alerts and other messages understand less than who are able to concentrate.” (qtd line 9).
Also this apology letter was very personal, another thing we do not expect to come out of an apology letter. We expect it to say sorry for the inconvenience, we send you our greatest apologies, the end. Not in this case, the employee Rick goes on to tell the recipient of the letter about his personal life, he compares his use of the newest model of the I can speak to show her how much happier she would be with a newer model. In most cases she would just be told the features of the new model in the letter, but rick makes sure she knows how it has affected his life personally. He even goes on to call her foolish in a sense he says in the letter
The rapidly increasing rate of new information being produced adds to the available channels of incoming information. Narrowing the attention of an employee as a result of email interruptions is likely to result in a reduction in productivity. As the distractions/interruptions increases, so does the ability to effectively make decisions and impacting the job performance. Solutions Effective communication is essential to building and maintaining a positive work environment and organizational culture. My preferred method of communication for Crisis Assistance Ministry is face-to- face communication.
Ray Bradbury talks about Fahrenheit not so much being about censorship but about being a society that didn’t read. People in the story are not intrested in reading because they think books are the cause of depression and how books carry on myths and legends. Also how technology has replaced books and that it has also affected relationships. To begin with people are siimple and unquestiong. They depend upon technology so much they think is a waste of time to open up a book.
