Miss. Witherspoon Miss. Witherspoon was a play that was based on the “Recent past and foreseeable future,” around the times of 1998, 2005, and beyond. The place was described as “Earth and not earth.” The play had four main characters, named Veronica (Miss. Witherspoon), Jesus, Maryamma, Gandalf, and the parents. There was five total actors and actresses in the play, most of them played multiple people. Veronica was not a happy person, she would complain and was paranoid most of the time that she was living. She thought that even thought there was a little to no chance of something like that involving her, she would still be paranoid and didn’t want any part of the life in which she was living. She then committed suicide. After her suicide, she was found to be in a state of being, which was called ‘Bardo’. In this state of being, she was accompanied by an Indian named Maryamma. This lady, Maryamma, seemed to be her ‘coach’ for her afterlife and Bardo was a place in which someone would wait to be reincarnated. Veronica wanted nothing to do with this and complained the whole time she was there, after a bit, Maryamma called her by the name of Miss. Witherspoon, because she was very cranky and didn’t want to do anything but stay dead. Maryamma didn’t fulfill her requests and sent her into another life, where she started out to be a baby from day one. Miss. Witherspoon thought she would be clever and find a way out of her situation, to commit suicide again. She succeeded and after went back to Bardo. Maryamma was very upset with her because she told her there are consequences to what has happened, not only did she take away her life but she damaged the lives that were attached to that baby. Miss. Witherspoon denied everything she said
