In psychology, we learnt about bullying, anti-social behaviour and the causes of bullying. to help us see the effects of thee actions, Mean Girls is a movie that displayed most of these aspects. anti-social behaviour is behaviour that lacks consideration for others and that may case damage to society. it is hostile and intended to disrupt social standing, while disrespecting those within society. forms of anti-social behaviour include, aggression, discrimination bullying, harassment, disrespecting property, rowdy behaviour and threats. bullying is the regular use of superior strength or influence to intimidate someone typically to force them to do something the bully wants. bullying is a form of aggressive and anti-social behaviour and is intentional and harmful, either physically or psychologically. there are many different forms of bullying including verbal, physical, indirect, exclusion and cyber. bullying comes in many different forms: physical, verbal, indirect, exclusion and cyber. physical bullying involves harming someone on the outside. this could be biting, slapping, kicking or punching. physical bullying is seen in Mean Girls when the teenagers are seen fighting like wild animals over the pages from the “Burn book”. as each girl finds a photocopy from the book about herself, she launches on another girl she suspects wrote it. it is complete “jungle madness” as girls jump on top of one another, slapping and hitting, even though none of them can prove who was the author of the pages. verbal bullying is a more subtle form of bullying, involving use of language. it entails threatening, spreading rumours, verbal abuse, gossiping, name calling and insulting people. verbal bullying is seen in Mean Girls where Regina tells Gretchen, “stop trying to make fetch happen, it’s not going to happen.” Gretchen is only trying to impress her friend, but Regina’s
