Like many others one of my many dreams in life has been my college education and obtaining the degree in a profession that I have a passion for but for many years unfortunately helping my parents has been a priority and I have fallen behind on my commitment. One day on a pretty Monday morning when taking my daughter to a doctor’s appointment is when I realized that I must dedicate my life to her and be the best role model I could. In this paper I will discuss how she inspired me and in a moment I pulled myself together that I should fulfill my lifelong dream, make her prod and there is nothing that should stop me.
Jobs are hard to find these days, especially when they are seeking a High School diploma or a College degree of some sort. My returning back to school is the best decision that I have made thus far and when I finally graduate, I will know for sure that I made the right choice. Having financial problems played a factor also in my returning to school.
I clipped the picture and saved it. I promised myself that I would help ‘her’ someday. There was a time in my life when all of my goals and aspirations felt unattainable. At that time I began to redirect my efforts to caring for my family. As a young parent, I decided if I could not make a positive impact on this world myself, I could be a positive influence for my children.
What Child Rights Mean to Me For some time now, I have been thinking of what it means to have rights as a child how these rights can have an impact on my attitudes and behaviours. One thing I have definitely learned is that it does not give me the right to do what I like nor behave as I like thinking that no one can stop me. Growing up, I never really encounter any problem with my parents and their style of parenting. I have such loving parents whom I remember always played a very important role in my upbringing and encouraged my success as a child. If it weren’t for these supporting and caring individuals in my life, I’m not sure what type of person I would be today.

Some people may find returning to school a very easy decision but, it takes motivation, determination, and confidence. I would love to have the opportunity to graduate from nursing, because I have a strong desire to help people and make a difference in the quality of their lives every day. What is also noteworthy about nursing is that there is no another job as rewarding as being a nurse. Each day I will have an impact on patients´ lives, and have the opportunity to save someone´s life. I think there is no reward greater than that. Searching in different schools, I found that this program has a bunch of resources not only solid basics of nursing theory , but also nursing practice as well as clinical experience that will give me the opportunity of been successful in different practice situations.
Why College Education is Important to Me For most individuals, a college education is merely the next step in the road to a successful career. For myself, the importance of a college education is more of a personal goal. Eight years ago, one of the last conversations I had with my mother prior to her passing away was her wish for me to attain my Bachelors Degree; a goal I had made for myself back when I was just entering High School but never attained as planned. I was one of those numbers who contributed to the statistics of having to drop out of college early on due to pregnancy. As a single parent, I had to put my educational goals on the back burner to raising my family.

Purchasing a house, yearly vacations, small camping trips are all just a dream to my family. My aspiration is to not only make myself proud, but to also be an example to my kids and to other woman like me like these women inspire me and became role models to me!
Now that I am a single mother and am unable to make ends meet on my own, I wanted to go back to college in order to get my Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies so that I can help provide a better life for my family. I also hope that this instills the family values and importance of education being a part of life no matter when you go back to school in both of my children. This is how society or sociological perspectives have played a part in me choosing to go back to
