The character who had the wrong knowledge was Cruz. This is because, Cruz didn’t see the importance in what Coach Carter was making them do. So, he gave up too easily, and in order to get back on the team he had to work for it. The character who had the right aims was Kenyan. Kenyan had gotten his girlfriend Kira pregnant, and he tried to do what was best to step up to the plate of being a father.
Willy struggled with finding his identity because he was so caught up in his chase for his “American Dream”. He refused to confront any feelings of shame because he was convinced it would make him look bad. However, in order to find one’s self, one must confront these feelings-no matter how painful they may be. Ripkoff also states that “the denial of such feelings cripples Willy and the rest of the Loman family.” (1). Willy’s oldest son Biff finally confronted these feelings in the end of the play and discovered his true identity, thus avoiding the same fate as his father.
Why wouldn’t Holden try to listen to Mr. Spencer about his poor academic accomplishments although he knows his failures? Answer: Holden is experiencing puberty and that may be the main reason why he won’t even bother listening to other people’s opinions, especially about his academic achievements. He just doesn’t want to care of that and enjoy his
Being beat and taunted by his father made him want to become a super strong body builder so that his father could no longer tell him that he was worthless. Living in his brother’s shadow made him want to be better than him no matter what he did. These negative emotions even drove him to talk to doctors as a teenager and do research on steroids. Kids and especially teenagers, just want to have fun. Who dosen’t?
They had thought of every way that could stop him from his bad behavior, but nothing worked. His dad believed that violence worked the best. Every time when Sonny got into trouble, his dad beat him, and Sonny would make him a temporary promise to be a good boy. But his dad lost trust in him when Sonny never kept his promises. His dad ignored when he didn’t go home or when he was sent to the Children’s Center; he said it was good riddance.
You would think because he missed his son’s birth, he would try to make up for it and be a great father. But he was never around to raise his son and do fatherly things with William, like teach him valuable life lessons and such. As an adult, William tried to let his father know that their relationship wasn’t steady because William only knew so much about his father, and the rest were fabrications. All he wanted to know was the truth, and Edward kept telling tall tales. This only caused the deteriorating relationship between father and son to
Rob has no interest in those kind of sports or any sports at all, he is just doing them just to please his dad. As for Rob's dad Mr. Willison, he shouldn't have forced his son to do all these sports that he is not interested in and pressuring him. Mr. Willison's obsession of Rob doing all these things is making Rob tempting himself to lie about things, and its normal for a teenager to lie about things just to please their parents. The dominant reading is that Mr. Willison
Willy thinks that if he were to tell the truth to his kids, they wouldn’t respect him for not being as successful as he claims to be. Outside influences have driven Willy to believe that he is not built for the salesman job. Furthermore, many people chase after jobs that they do not enjoy in order to keep up with what society believes to be acceptable in regards to standard living. Biff, Willy’s son, knows that he is not built for the business world. He would like to settle for less and do something he enjoys.
One parent would tell her one thing, and then the other one would tell her to do the complete opposite; she never knew what to do. If parents are telling a child two different things to do, then the child will not know which to choose. Parenting is about working together, not making the child choose between the two. Andrew’s parents are just like Brian’s parents except they wanted him to be a star athlete. He wrestles and his father wants him to win every match he wrestles, so he stresses over matches and commits all his time to sports.
Teenage boys do not act like they are their age since they still do immature/childish acts which is why teenage boys be putting themselves in tough predicaments that they can not get out of. This affects my gender because I barely see any guys act like they want to be adults or want to be grown up, they just want to act like they are little kids. All these stereotypes will always remain in this modern day world since people do not want to be adults and stop with all these problems. Everybody can stop with these stereotypes but they choose not to since they think they can say whatever they want and think they can get away with it. It is not that hard to something as simple as respect people that you come around and be
