GEORGIA O’KEEFE Among the great American artists of the 20th-century, Georgia O’Keeffe stands as one of the most compelling. For nearly a century, O’Keeffe’s representations of the beauty of the American landscape were a brave counterpoint to the chaotic images embraced by the art world. Her cityscapes and still lifes filled the canvas with wild energy that gained her a following among the critics as well as the public. Though she has had many imitators, no one since has been able to paint with such intimacy and stark precision. Georgia O’Keeffe was born in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in 1887.
In this essay, I will write about Kat Von D, by discussing her work, and most importantly, try to explain why body modifications – more specifically, Tattoos - should be considered Art, and why so many people chose to have it. She owns a tattoo shop; has her own television show; created and launched her make-up line for “Sephora”; published two books; and in 2010 she opened the “Wonderland Gallery”. Frida Kahlo de Rivera is a Mexican painter most well known for her self-portraits. Her life began and ended in Mexico City, in her home known as La Casa Azul. She was born in the early twentieth century, and despite her early death at the mere age of 47, she manages to live a wild and creative life. She was an independent thinker who claims she “was born a painter.” All of her pieces are incredibly emotional and powerful. She allegedly desired her work to be associated with the birth of modern Mexico, so even though her birth certificate states she was born July 6, 1907, Kahlo claims to have been born July 7, 1910 (birth of Mexican Revolution).

His life in Paris also brought him closer to other painters. For 2 years he stayed in Algeria because he joined the First Regiment of African Light Cavalry, in 1861. He was supposed to stay there for 7 years but his aunt petitioned for him to return after he contacted typhoid. During his studies in university, he met many artists where they all shared their ideas on new, rapid painting techniques. During that time Monet met a young woman, Camille Doncieux.
