She bakes in the sun to get that bronzy glow, But once you get past that, you see it’s all for show. Where is the happiness in this superficial life? Her head’s so full of nonsense you could pop it with a knife. All the boys seem to love her for her beauty and her charm, But to them she’s just a decoration for them to hang upon their arm. She will grow up and be nothing.
Experiencing the works of Britney first hand is the most amazing feeling in the world. The way that she moved up on stage and got the crowd going really made me look up to her as a role model. Her vocals and the way she interacted with us made it such an enjoyable experience. If I had to choose to see anyone in the world for my first concert I would say her name without hesitation. Even through the chaos within her life, I still listen to her music.
The song was talking about a couple who had an argument, and the girl was trying to keep the guy stay with her so she wrote this song for him. Suzanne Vallie used a very sweet voice at first to express the passion that the couple had for each other, and then use a husky voice at the end to express the sadness that the girl felt. The next song was called “My Treasure”. This song was actually Suzanna Vallie wrote to her best friend, Macy, which already passed away. The melody of this song was very slow, I was about to sleep.
When eating the pineapple, it melted in our mouths and exploded with brilliant flavors. After eating breakfast, we took a tour of the hotel’s marvelous sites. In the middle of the hotel stood an immense, beautiful waterfall. Draping the tranquil flowing water were enormous palm trees standing on each side like Roman slaves waving palms to cool off their master. Also in the hotel were two energetic, talking parrots with bright, vivid colors of blue and red on one and charcoal grey, green, and yellow on the other.
They weren't only the audience, not only looking on; they were acting.” ❏ She is excited about having an almond in her cake which is very minuscule ❏ Towards the end of the story she begins to cry, hinting at herself realizing she is alone ❏ Miss Brill in my opinion is a widow ❏ The story was written in 1920 and it was very rare for a woman to not marry ❏ Perhaps the reason she made such a big deal about everything in the park is to help herself forget about her husband ❏ Perhaps her and husband used to go there every Sunday and that is why she attends by herself ❏ At the end of the story it reads, “She unclasped the necklet quickly; quickly, without looking, laid it inside. But when she put the lid on she thought she heard something crying.” ❏ Perhaps the reason she unclasps it quickly without looking is because it was a necklet that her husband and given to her and that is the reason for the
Sammy, the narrator of and cashier at A&P, is an opinionated, cynical, typical teenage boy with an obvious physical attraction to the opposite sex. Sammy is aware of everything around him and seems to have everybody figured out. From, according to Sammy, the witch-like customer whom he’s ringing up at the time he catches a glimpse of the three half-naked girls, to his coworker and manager. Sammy’s imperfections and narrow-mindedness are revealed by his particular observations. For example, the hanging bathing suit straps of one of the girls and the precise tan line boundaries of the other.

Later in the story, when Tina is kissing the cute boy from the poster store, she continues to judge herself while thinking “how it [the skirt] had held in her butt and if she had been wearing that plastic skirt now, and he held her butt, it would remind him of a bubble, not a heart. I do not want guys to feel my butt and think of hearts.” (179). At the end of the story, after Cathy has gone looking for Tina and does not find her she goes home. She then does something interesting. “She went and looked at herself in the mirror for an hour and felt terrible even though she liked the pose of her left profile best.” (180).
The other tone that is seen throughout this poem is the mother’s responses. As we read, we comprehend how the mother answers with joy and excitement, like any mother would. “Here are thousands of meals, she said. And here is clothing and good education” (27-28). The mother is so happy and fortunate that she can provide all these necessities for her child.
As a conclusion, my mother is my blessed gift in my life. There are many people who have inspired me in many ways but, my mother who inspired me the most. I admire her very much because she teaches me what I should do and what I should not. I am so proud to have her as my mother and also appreciate for what she did for me. (454
