Man Made Laws vs. Natural Law

“Man made law does not oblige in the court of conscience”, the Ten Commandments are prime example’s of God’s laws and how some of man made law’s follow them today. The Ten Commandments are definite determinants of a just and moral standing. We follow the commandments that say it is a sin and against God’s law to murder, steal, lie, commit adultery, or covet your neighbor. Not only does God punish you for it, but common law and our society will punish you for these wrong doings. Some of God’s natural laws are followed today with common law, and then there are some that were followed in the beginning of times as laws, but are not seen as laws in common law and society. For example, the first four commandments are God’s laws but are not seen as common law. “You shall have no other God’s before me”, although that is one of the most important laws in my opinion, it is hardly thought of as important in society. The first commandment would go against the U.S. constitution. It goes against the freedom of religion and freedom of rights. “You shall not make yourself an idol or likeness of heaven”, and “You shall not worship false idols” are God’s laws that correspond with the first commandment. You can not have any other God’s, including yourself or another idol that you could worship. People will idolize money, celebrities, objects, even other religions or governments. That can’t be a common law because it takes people’s freedom of choice away. In my personal experience I have seen others who idolize celebrities so much to the extent that it surrounds their life. That is against God’s law, but not man made law. Although, breaking God’s law of having no other idols before Him can lead to breaking man and God’s law. People can become so obsessed or infatuated with a certain object that it causes them to commit other crimes. They can result in murder, endangering someone’s
