Peasant Revolt DBQ During the mid-Sixteenth century, the peasants of the Holy Roman Empire were quite outraged by the ways of society. Many of the Lutheran ideals had encouraged them to make a stand against their lives of misery and hardships. Lords and Nobles treated the peasants poorly and hindered there economic rising in society by forcing them to perform tasks without much deserved pay. The general response to the revolts was that it was pointless and went overboard, leaving the peasants almost worse off than before. Overall, many have argued that the widespread revolt of the German peasants was unnecessary and defying of their religious beliefs.
Without this knowledge, Jane Doe gave what she believed was her informed consent for the surgery, which consequently violated her right to self-determination and did her extreme harm rather than good. She never had the chance to explore other options, because she was misinformed about her donor from the start. In addition to hiding risks from the patient, physicians gave her little alternative to her procedure. She knew she did not want a high risk donor, in fact she had “previously rejected another donor “because of his lifestyle”’(Vaughn 152). Clearly Jane Doe was exercising her autonomous right to decline this kidney, as she thought accepting that kidney may cause her more harm than good.
While Redlining is mainly used in correlation to financial discrimination; this term can also be applied to the German Americans' struggle for equal treatment. During this particular time period the Government issued the Alien Registration Act of 1940. This act stated all people of German decent were to register with the Federal Government, which restricted their travel and property owning rights. This greatly affected the German farmers who came to the United States with the dream of having their own farm to work off of and now this dream came with restrictions. Although German Americans struggled with prejudice and discrimination, they also played a positive role in trying to rise up and face the
BELGIAN CONGO Belgian Congo, Congo Free State, Congo, Kongo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zaire are all names for this African country that with no doubt went through some of the hardest times during the age of imperialism. The age of imperialism took place during 1855-1914 and really left a mark within the Congo state. Imperialism is when a mother country, a stronger nation, takes domination of political, economic, and social life of another country. The term “age of imperialism” was first influenced by the activities of these mother nations: France, German, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and the United States. Belgian colonial rule in the republic of Congo lasted from 1885 to 1908.

On order to capitalise on this new process, the south needed lots of cheap labour, and found it in the form of slaves. As the Northern climate could not support the cotton plant, the Northern and Southern economy began to grow apart, until they were extremely different, with the Northern economy focussing on industrialisation, and the Southern economy remaining as an agricultural economy. This meant that they had different goals when it came to their economy, and that different things would benefit them. In particular, they clashed over import taxes
They saw it as going against the law of God making religion the bigger factor of why this person was in jail and why this person might be killed. This can be viewed similar to The Crucible. Religion was a big factor of why so many people were killed. The Salem government didn’t have any real explanation about why the girls were acting the way they were so they turned to religion to explain the unexplainable. They didn’t have any law at the time making it illegal to be a witch so they used religion or the law of God as an excuse to kill all those people.
This book foresees shortcomings for farmers and their crops as well economic distress. Populism is defined as people who are the under caste of society making a political movement. The farmers felt like they were beat around by big businesses, and felt like they had no political outreach to help them get an equal share for their work production. To oppose this they pulled together and formed the populist group called the Farmer’s Alliance. This helped the lower classes feel like they had some people.
Explain why there was protest against the political system in the period 1815-1822. Many people felt that the Government existed soely to appease the wealthily ruling class and nobody else. They therefore felt that it was time for a change; the administration should work to improve the lives of the vunerable in society rather than protect the interests of a small few. This was spurred on by the conditions that the working class had to endure while working in the new industries created by the industrial revolution. So, faced with the policies of Lord Liverpool’s Government, many people felt they were being treated unjustly.
On the other hand, the farmers start suffering with the rules the rich people wanted to put over them, they had been left with smaller, less productive tobacco farms. They had no power in the government, because only large plantation owners were allowed to vote, the farmers were in need of more land, and they had to fight with Indians over land rights. Then it comes the rebellion of the farmers where they start fighting for justice, being abused, taxes and many other reasons; although the rebellion was not successful, it was one of the major economic and political developments in the American
