Drink Purchase Size and Temperature at Starbucks Selma Chigri La Habra High School Introduction How many people purchase different size drinks and temperature at Starbucks? Many people go to Starbucks each day and the behavior I wanted to observe is how many actually prefer different size and temperature drinks. On May 11,2014 I sat down with a pen and notebook and began to create a chart which include a section for each size and temperature. I began to mark down on my chart each purchase that was done. The Potential Cofounders are the number of people inside Starbucks, the time, the date, the weather, the cost of the size cup, and the arrangement of people.
Together these elements encourage the coffee house’s goal of bringing people together through a serene and enjoyable atmosphere. Starbucks offers many conversation topics such as different flavors, a story on the front page of a newspaper, or what song is playing over the speakers. The coffee giant has recently added quotes from notable figures to the sides of their cups to spark discussions. The opinions and thoughts of widely known people is a strategy to keep the customer
Their expectations are exchanging the goods or services they have paid for (food, drinks, coffees prepared), in a friendly and professional manner. 2. Identify their organisation’s services and products. 3.2 I can outline my organisation’s services and products to customers by giving them our own ‘Cafe2U’ branded menu which includes all of our details and information with a priced list of all our available produce. Another way would to be to inform them face-to-face if they enquired about a given question such as ‘what do you sell here’ which I would lead on to tell/show them our coffee, food and drinks menu.
In order to ensure the respondents accurately represented the SFU student body, we attempted to choose participants who were diverse in gender, faculty, nationality and year of study. This proved to be highly beneficial to the discussion, as it stimulated the exploration of ideas and topics that we had initially overlooked. This exploratory research refined the areas of investigation most beneficial to Renaissance, particularly key factors that affect food and drink choices, as well as to gain ideas and insights into Renaissance’s current brand perception and loyalty. From here, we were able to generate hypotheses about the following categories: a) Coffee Consumption Habits - Students consume the most coffee during exam week and lecture break. b) Factors Influencing Purchase Decisions - Students feel that price is the single most important factor when deciding where to purchase food or beverages.
Reflection Summaries BIS/220 April 10, 2012 The first class usually follows a regimented format. The first night of Business Information Systems / 220 was not significantly different than most others. The discussion began by each person, in turn, explaining how they were introduced to information technology (IT) and what they use it for these days. Surprisingly, many classmates indicated they have used IT since grade school. Further discussion centered on class policies including the instructor's stance on plagiarism.
Participation in the Seminar is a very important part of this course. It is the one chance that you have each week to interact with your classmates and your instructor real-time. Seminar is a great opportunity to cover course material in a fun and dynamic forum where you can discuss what you’ve learned in each unit and ask questions about topics that you don’t yet understand. Students should actively participate in each seminar. During each seminar, the instructor will be asking students lots of questions from the reading assignments, so there will be many opportunities to answer and to make additional comments or ask questions of your own.
I also enjoy helping others and giving advice, making people feel good about themselves and making sure they are heading in the right direction. My father works in the health care sector and he talks to me in a certain way sometimes where we can communicate on the same level like he would do with his service users at work. This made me think about how I would love to progress into a career in counselling. I am able to carry out independent research and write reports summarising my findings. I have learned to look at evidence carefully and analyse a range of data.
FIRST QUARTER The first few weeks passed without much ado; I spent most of my time with the friends I had met at marching band camp. I was growing accustomed to my classes. For the most part I blended into my peers; I rarely spoke in class unless addressed, even then most of the time I was wrapped up in my own little pocket of sound, so I was very unresponsive. I tend to make friends well so I passed through my school days with some friendly conversations and general good humor. I always longed for my lunch period, that’s when I saw Caroline, Jodie, Max and Joel.
For example, greeting them on arrival, asking how they are on each visit and sharing and listening to opinions, comments and feedback. By building this strong rapport with the service user, this helps in being able to share important information with them and allows you to understand and meet the needs of the individual. This allows you to get the desired result that the service user wants from their call and in addition helps them to feel more at ease to express their individual needs and wants, influencing our actions to how they would like. As well as communicating with our service users, it is also important to consider why we communicate with other people in the health and social care setting. This can vary from colleagues within the company, to the relatives of the service user and other health care professionals such as district nurses and occupational therapists.
What I learned from this experience is that these meetings are a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. I am glad I had the opportunity to attend this meeting. I feel hearing this type group will aid me to help better understand and help my patients when they may need help that I may guide and encourage them to attend meetings like
