Also, the excessive manure present in rainwater runoff during heavy storms cannot be called “agricultural stormwater discharges.” In C.A.R.E v Southview Farms, “The run-off was primarily caused by the over-saturation of the fields rather than the rain and that sufficient quantities of manure were present so that the run-off could not be classified as "stormwater. "” (1994). Therefore, Northfield Farms is in violation of the CWA for its disposal method of waste products as well as the manner in which waste floods surrounding private property. I think if we make a way where trash that goes down a drain can be separated from the water and goes into another drain leading to a dump. Africa has different problems in the environment, there’s barely any water for animals to drink and certain areas have dry climates. Florida has some dry climates and sometimes Africa doesn’t get rain for a while. Most of all the pollution comes from pipes and drains, when construction goes on and they make a mistake the trash in those pipes mix into water sources for humans and animals. We need more clean and efficient drains that won’t harm clean water that we all use to drink and water that animals need to drink, swim, etc.
require all graffiti to be covered up, but allow building owners to graffiti their own property to advertise or state a belief. Even though the tagger and owner is one in the same, it should still be considered “illegal” under the terms of the city ordinance. We have a right to free speech, but that doesn’t mean the entire community accepts the image portrayed on the building. If you drive south on Market Street, in our Historic Hillyard District, you will see graffiti on a number of buildings. This piecer style graffiti is considered appropriate and is not required to be covered up.
There are a few things that Company Q could work on and change to create a better enviroment for the community. They decided to close 2 different stores in higher crime areas stating they were losing money. Instead of closing the stores they could implement new procedures to increase security. Installing cameras or hiring security guards to stand outside the store or patrol inside would show their customers that they are concerned for the safety of those shopping there. Company Q could also could work with other business owners and city government to makes changes to the area surrounding the store.
There are a plethora of problems with the system that the city refuses to ix. One of the main problems with the subway is the dirt and grime that are overrunning the carts. Everywhere you look there are piles of garbage lying around on the platforms. There is an inadequate amount of trash cans on the platforms. Due to this problem, people resort to throwing their used napkins, cans, and wrappers on the floor.
We could ask our city officials to bring back water fountains. We could work to ban the use of bottled water in schools or entire city. This video has opened my eyes. I always knew that bottled water could be dangerous to the environment, but if you recycled them that it wouldn’t be as bad. Now that I know that recycling really doesn’t do that much.
One example of this is that more police officers can go onto the police force, so that the young person sees them everywhere and believes that they mightcatch them. Specific deterrence says that if a single person is punished strongly for onecrime, then they will not commit this crime again out of fear of punishment. For example,a youth who commits a crime is put into a program. Crime prevention strategies that aresituational aim to tell young people that the benefits of crime are not worth the eventual punishment. This is to let people know that the punishment always far outweighs thecrime.
By dealing with the offenders through communication and education, we set ourselves apart from the local law enforcement. This not only allows for a more peaceful resolution, but it also reduces the amount of money the residents would have collect in order to pay the salary of the off duty officer we would need to patrol the community. Residents discovered that by rotating duties and shifts, everyone who wants to participate in the program has a chance to. Working together we are stronger than if we took it upon ourselves individually to confront the issues of crime we have in the community. Research has proven that by taking an active role in protecting our assets we have a better appreciation of not only the property we have, but the property of our community as a whole.
b. Relocated public housing residents and renters of affordable units view rules that restrict the use of public space—streets, playgrounds, and the areas in front of buildings—as largely targeting them (“right to the city” debate). c. While aimed at reducing “hanging out” and other behaviors, rules and design choices that limit access to public space also have the offsetting effect of leading to an informal reclaiming of these spaces for social uses (e.g. kids playing in the streets and people gathering in parking lots). The extinction of animals will cause more of what they eat this can affect humans by more humans being bite by mosquitoes. The mosquitoes population will increase and anything else that they eat. The recovery and preservation of these animals is complicated because many people do not care about these animals and what it does to them when we destroy their homes, places that they feel safe at.
