The movie I will be reviewing is Law Abiding Citizen directed by F. Gary Gray. Basically, Clyde Shelton is a family man whose wife and daughter are murdered in front of him during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice, a young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Later, Nick is forced by his boss to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice. Clyde is devastated to find out that Nick gave the man a plea bargain. Fast forward ten years and the man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton admits he did it. Then he issues a warning to Nick that is either fix the justice system that failed his family, or many people in the trial will die. Soon Shelton follows through on his threats by working from his jail cell. A series of killings that can be neither predicted or prevented. Philadelphia is filled with fear as Shelton’s high profile targets are killed one after another and the police are powerless to stop his wrath of terror. Only Nick can stop the killing, and to do so he must out think this crazy killer. With his own family now in Shelton’s aim, Nick finds himself in a desperate race against time. Nick finally realizes that Clyde had bought a piece of property right next to the jail holding him. When they check the place out, they realize that there's a secret passage way right to his cell. At this time Clyde is planting a bomb at city hall. Nick eventually gets there and takes it back Clyde's cell, but he does not know it. Finally, Clyde tells Nick that it is too late only to realize the bomb is there and blows himself up. The accuracy of the events depicted are not really realistic because no man could pull of the stunts done by Clyde. Everything he planned worked out perfectly from getting Darby to get in the cop car and killing the inmate to get in the isolate
