Lauryn Hill was born in South Orange, New Jersey where many of her influences came from that helped her develop her music. She is majorly influenced by the 1960s Motown era. A. After a while Lauryn Hill decided to release a solo album. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was a twelve track album, which took listener on a journey. She shared her pain and struggles as a young woman and as an artist. 1. She released five single from the album, and won five Grammys. 2. After The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, she took a four year hiatus and then released an Unplugged album. After the album released she slipped out of the spotlight and started to focus more on raising a family. D.
