Reflection on action is as described above where one contemplates in retrospect. Reflection is largely about self development t as it adds to your knowledge and also challenges beliefs and concepts that you may hold. Reflection is only effective if one follows through with action. 1.2 Analyse the rationale for reflective practice It is human nature that we generally learn from experience, once we have had and experience we naturally observe and reflect on it, through this we form concepts/beliefs and then we test this out in new situations, this goes round in circles each time our view/concepts are being changed as we experience new things. In this cycle self-observation and evaluation helps to understand one’s own actions and to refine one’s practice on an ongoing basis for the benefits of the communities being served.

I discovered a way to both objectify and subjectively my personal feelings, perceptions and thoughts, and how to analyze the content when faced with challenging situations. The subjective part consists of the personal experience of the event, whereas the objective part is the fact surrounding the experience. I learned how to be observant in the experience what possible meaning could these observations have in relationship to oppression, privilege and diversity. This experience really opened my eyes as it relates to oppression, privilege, diversity because learning is a process that first begins with concrete experiences and that should lead to reflective observations about the experience. This assignment allowed me the opportunity to conceptualize and test the implications of the experience in future situations that may occur as a social worker.
Process Report of a Client Centred Therapy Session Reflection and Literature Review Gina Enache-Raw PS 4002 - Humanistic Approach and Skills Abstract The purpose of this process report is to critically evaluate my sensitivity within the counselling process and to assess my awareness of what was occurring within the therapy as this allows me to explore areas that have potential for further development and to increase my understanding of a humanistic framework. I will attempt to inform the reader about my interactions with the client and explain how I have made sense of the therapeutic process and what I have learned from the experience. One of the main reasons for choosing this particular session was because I have previously worked with the client and there were certain issues worth exploring from both, mine and client’s perspective. For example, as the reader will see from the excerpt the client spoke about issues within her family and I have considered this to be of a particular interest from both personal and multi-cultural perspectives. Process Report of a Client Centred Therapy Session Reflection and Literature Review "It is that the individual has within himself or herself vast resources for self-understanding, for altering his or her self-concept, attitudes and self-directed behavior - and that these resources can be tapped if only a definable climate of facilitative psychological attitudes can be provided."
It helps to keep one’s mind fresh and with new ideas on how to deal with issues which I face during my sessions with a client. Self-awareness develops over a period of time and with experience. With time one can learn strategies to help in the development of self awareness so that personal thoughts and experiences does not affect this. Knowledge that is gained through personal experience can sometimes be a barrier when working but if one is personally aware of this, it helps to remove any barrier. It also question one’s own personal values, awareness and beliefs.

Analyzing how effective the rhetors choice of words are in relation to context, message, and audience, allowed for self reflection on how we made similar choices in our own writings. 12/4/13 Today Mrs. Weaver gave me a list with over 100 student’s names on it. The whole hour I was there I had to update the student’s results in hearing and visions screenings. Knowing that a nurse has to do this for eve student is absolutely crazy. I had no idea a nurse could have so much on her plate and have to deal with the present. The work keeps pilling and never stops.
