I remember when my father passed away when I was in high school, a religious song “Lily of the Valley” that we sang for him gave me the strength to move on in life. It made me

( Four Way Street: The Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Reader) In addition, CSNY cared about the war being fought at that time. The antebellum period was marked by an outbreak of religious revivalism that spread throughout the United States. The Second Great Awakening gave a renewal of interest towards religion. One of the most popular revivalists was Charles G. Although this vulnerability hindered him from performing regularly it was the driving force behind his music and allowed him to create revolutionary pieces that are played in countless concerts today and are part of every pianist’s repertoire. His music has been studied for many years, but in order for his music to be studied successfully it is necessary to acknowledge what it represents and what influenced it, and in doing so, a clearer understanding of Chopin himself can be revealed. Mamiya states “…in most black churches singing is second only to preaching as the magnet of attraction and the primary vehicle of spiritual transport for the worshiping congregation.” What’s important about the music is the message behind each song that is sung in the churches. The lyrics have meaning in which people can express themselves and really worship God. In the mid 1900’s during the civil rights movement, black churches would sing about freedom. Music and singing played a critical role in inspiring, mobilizing, and giving voice to the civil rights movement.

Every time I listen to this song I always think of my pass relationships, and the problems we have went through. I also like the cords they put together when they made this song. Every dude in the group has a different type of voice, and cover different parts in the song. My favorite person in the group would have to be Shawn; he is the one that carries the high notes in the group. There group is really one of a kind, and I never heard a group that can sing the way they can before.
