About 25% of each school is made up of athletes, they are made up of people who play football, basketball, beach volleyball, are on the rowing team, etc. It is most likely that all of these people answered “YES” to this survey so really, there are about 10% of students who actually believe athletes should get paid. Why should they get paid though; some are already getting full ride scholarships, they are doing it voluntarily and there are privileges that come along with being an athlete. In high school, athletes who excel among their peers are usually looked at by a college scout, a person who looks for good players who are eligible to play at their school. When these athletes’ skills are extraordinary and are able to impress the scout, they are many times given full scholarships to the college with the condition that they play for the school’s team.
Finally making through conference placing 2nd , now able to attend states. Once states came along I felt as if my first race was taking place again. Nervous, scared, etc. thinking to myself "You got this," but the nervousness overriding once again through out the race hitting every hurdle I hurdled. Crossing the finishline noticing what a horrible race I just ran placing 4th out of 6.
There have been complaints from supporters over the aggressive and bad behaviour of some parents last season. That then leads Sam, coach of this local sports club to write this newsletter to presents his view towards next season that all sorts of behaviour that will disappoint the supports from parents last season should stop, for benefits of the team and the kids. Sam firstly displays parents with bad behaviour using the visual cartoon to create the negative feeling on these parents. Sam portrays these types of parents as a donkey that represents the fool, supported by the text saying “I wish these sports aggressive parents could see themselves as we do”. Sam stated his personal feeling and also outlined the complains he received that theses ‘bad parents’ are disgusting and scary using the donkey’s aggressive face and signs of abusive language from his mouth.
Instead of playing on the varsity team, I played for the Frosh-Soph team and made team captain as well. While on the team, I made new friends and got closer to my coach. My coach helped me cope with my family issues I was facing. She pushed me harder both mentally and physically. With her help, I got better in the sport and helped us win 7 out of our 16 season games.
soon intervened by making Michael practice and exercise everyday. He had his first game days later in which he tackled so well one of the opposite’s team member that everyone was shocked. S.J. sent days later the video of Michael tackling the other member to several universities and suddenly everyone was interested in him. But to win a scholarship he needed to have a better GPA, so they hired a tutor for him.
However, some of them have it easier than the others. The students in India apply themselves because they strive to release themselves from poverty for a better life, where as in the U.S the students have more of a luxurious life in comparison due to all the after curricular activities. Moreover Chinese students spend twice as much time in school and studying than U.S students do. In addition, schools in India are in session on Saturdays. The U.S’s global status is being overtaken by China and India due to the dedicated youths who push the standards of education higher.
Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year. By voting for me to go to CASL, my classmates would benefit because we would have a better & experienced leader in their class. I have shown major commitment and dedication to both leadership and my class. Every single day (even Mondays), I am early and ready to learn how to become a better leader. I have also been at almost every single workday the freshman class has had for all required events.
It is there that they are mentored, coached and practice for hours to be the best. For most, that is where the dreams also end. As NCAA television commercials remind us, most college athletes will become professional in something other than sports. Many youth begin dreaming and playing sports at a very early age. Parents are willing
When it came around for football season again I helped him and I was getting better at what he taught me. Then before I knew it I was helping with basketball that year. That’s when I knew want I wanted to do with my life. I would to be an athletic trainer. I love sports and I love the feeling of helping people when they were hurt.
I was worried about everything, worried what if I fell down again, worried to be embarrassed in front of everyone, worried that fears would over take my strength. Even though I had been practicing for a long time, I still don't know whether I could cross over the deep part inside of me or not, where the wound haven't been healed completely yet. I ran and jumped as hard as I could, and I made it. I continued to jump over another and another. The sense of achievement was filled out my heart, I was so proud of myself, I'm so thankful that I didn't live up my effort.
