The author Wes Moore was a black male that lived in Baltimore as a young child but moved to The Bronx when he was a little older. He attended private school there before he was shipped off to Military school for his behavior. Their income was low. There was only one income from his mother, Joy, because his father died when he was young. The other Wes Moore also grew up in Baltimore and attended public school there.

WALTER FRANCIS WHITE Walter Francis White was born on July 1st 1893 in Atlanta, Georgia. At that time Atlanta had Jim Crow laws so Walter White had to attend African American schools, although his appearance did not resemble that of his classmates, Walter White looked white. He is quoted from his autobiography A Man Called White in saying “I am a Negro. My skin is white, my eyes are blue and my hair is blond. The Traits of my race are nowhere visible upon me.” Even though African American schools were not known for their quality he was able to obtain admission to Atlanta University.
You Deserve by Les Brown Last class, I was watched a video of Les Brown by Dr. John. This video was very interesting because it was not only funny, but it also had highly educated. I was admired Brown, why? Before I tell you why let me talk little bit about Brown's background I had heard in the video. Born a twin in low-income Liberty City in Miami, Florida, Les and his twin brother were adopted when they were six weeks old by Mrs. Mamie Brown, a single mother who had very little education and financial means, but a very big heart.
They were from the Crescent City in Florida. But then, Philip Randolph and his family had moved to Jacksonville. There is a place that was established the African American community. And because of he was an African America, there was discrimination that bothering him. However, he had learnt something from his father: person's character and conduct are way more important than color.

Born in Mississippi on June 25, 1933(Wikipedia) He was raised on a farm and shortly after he finished high school he joined the military. Education was very important to James and after he served 9 years in the military he started to attend an all-black college. However that was not enough for James, in 1962 he became the first African-American student at the University of Mississippi and continued to earn his degree in law. He dedicated his life to enforce civil rights for African-Americans. Throughout the next decade people just like James rose and fought for what they believed in, Equality.
Lil Wayne Lil Wayne is one of my favorite rap artists. Dwayne Michael Carter was born in New Orleans, La on September 27th 1982. Dwayne grew up in Hollygrove, one of New Orleans' poorest neighborhoods. Lil Wayne started rapping around the age of eight. He then met Bryan and Slim Williams who were the founders of cash money records.
