Who is the Golden Globe award winning Canadian American actor and comedian? Who wore tap shoes to bed just to cheer up his parents? My name is Ace Ventura Pet detective. Good afternoon judges, principal, teachers and fellow students. I did my speech on a famous Canadian named Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey was born in Newmarket, Ontario, on January 17, 1962. His birth name is James Eugene Carrey. He was the fourth child to be born to Percy and Kathleen Carrey. His three older siblings are John, Patricia, and Rita. His family was Catholic and French Canadian. As a child Jim was always trying to make people laugh. As a child, Jim had always loved putting on proformances. When he was 10, he even mailed his own resume to "The Carol Brunett Show". At the end of each day in Middle School, he was given a few minutes to do stand-up comedy for his classmates. Jim's family was later forced to relocate from Newmarket to Scarborough (a place in Toronto). They all took jobs as janitors and security guards in a Titan Wheels Factory. When they all quite there jobs, they lived in a vehicale camper till they could return Toronto. But then Jim decided to get a job in a comedy club called Yuk Yuk's. He did his stand-up comedy wich many people there thought was bad. Jim later dropped out of High School to work on celebrity impersonations. He later moved to Los Angeles to work as a celeb impersonator. In a place called The Comedy Store, were he first worked as an celeb impersonator, Jim had impressed a man named Rodney Dangerfield so much, that Dangerfield signed Jim up to do an opening act for and whole season for the veteran comic. While doing this, Jim met a women named Melissa Womer who he later married and they had a daughter named Jane Carrey. Later Jim and Melissa went through a dicvorce were after that, Jim met and married a women named Lauren
