Jehovah’s Witnesses, Latter Day Saints (Mormons) There are many religions in this world but this paper is of two, one of which may be considered one of the worlds largest Proselytic Faiths. In this writing are two Proselytic faiths which have nearly as many similarities as differences. As in any religion one would try not to be biased, and try to learn from these teachings. Two of the Proselytic faiths in the forefront are Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons. Both of these faiths do missionary work, spreading the word and teachings through their bibles. They both live with clean intentions as Mormons do not drink alcohol, caffeine, or use tobacco. In comparison one might say Jehovah Witnesses stick to their own clean lifestyle by refusing blood transfusions because in Jehovah Witnesses eyes by receiving blood it goes against what their bible approves of. This practice seems a bit far fetched but remembering the Jehovah Witnesses are considered “witnesses” they actually believe and look at death as a higher way of mortality than to receive medical assistance when needed. Most would agree that whatever is in ones bible they would adhere to because nobody wants to be considered a sinner. Both Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons have strong moral values and believe their bible/books are the truth. The problem for me is if you think outside of their belief box, Jehovah Witness go by one book, where Mormons have three. It is hard to imagine that so many different bibles, literature and ways of teaching would make anyone a believer or non believer. Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses are comparable when they speak of Satan. Each group agrees that the power of Satan lives with us daily and is of evil influence to us all. Comparing Mormon counselors to those of Jehovah Witnesses they are very much the same, as neither group pays their followers for their positions within the
