Isaac Newton was born on January 4th of 1643 in Woolsthrope, Lincolnshire. His father was a farmer, who died three months before Newton was born. His mother got re-married after she had Isaac Newton. He was now in the care of his grandparents. In 1661 he went to Cambridge University, where he became a very well educated student. When he went to school he studied mathematics, optics, physics and astronomy. In October 1665, a plague epidemic forced the university to close and Newton returned to Woolsthrope. After, Newton’s experience with education he began to think about gravity. However in 1687, with the support of his friend, Edmond Halley, Isaac Newton published his greatest work, the ‘Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica.’ Also…show more content…

Also contains famous correspondence with Boyle and Bentley. Optics was Newton’s book on the physical science. Optics is largely a record of experiments and the deductions made from them, covering a big part of what was later know as Physical Optics.
