Education in America in 1800’s. Education was always important to Americans. Overall America is the country that prospers from of intellectual achievements each citizen have had achieved. However, our country wouldn’t stand so high on pedestal if it wasn’t for our founding fathers that have established educational system and built world known universities. Unfortunately, many boarding school or college throughout Europe and America required high tuitions and were mainly for males that came from aristocratic families.
How successful was Henry VII in increasing wealth of the crown? 24 marks Throughout Henry’s reign he made good use of his financial resources. Henry VII knew he needed a good financial base so he could run the country, but on a more personal note, he also saw the need to create a strong financial situation to be able to secure his reign and dynasty. As Caroline Rodgers states 'Henry was acutely aware of the importance of strong finances if he was to remain safely on the throne.' However, it has often been said of Henry, 'No man has ascended to the throne with such a lack of financial experience and resources as Henry VII.'
I will be arguing that the achievement of the Attlee Government were remarkable. The sources which I’ll be using show the impact that the Attlee Government had on Britain. From my own knowledge and also the sources, I can show that the achievements of Attlee Government were remarkable as it helped the people of Britain live much better lives. On the contrary it can also show that the achievements weren’t remarkable as it had created many problems for the country. Source 4 is suggesting that since the Attlee government had come into power sorted out many problems in Britain.
Colonists were provided with even more reason to practice their religion and continue their work in America for a better, more liberated life. England's success at colonizing, what would become the United States, was due in large part to its use of charter companies. Charter companies were groups of stockholders, usually merchants and wealthy land owners, who sought personal economic gain. While the private sector financed the companies, the King provided each project with a charter conferring economic rights as well as political authority. The colonies generally did not show quick profits.
The defeat of the Armada left Britain with a position of authority and more importantly, a wealthy income. Some of this income was claimed from the Spanish and their treasuries after their defeat. This was known as mercantilism. After this victorious win, mostly due to the engineering of Britain’s ships and the large prestigious royal navy, Britain set up colonies and plantations across the east coast of north America. Britain also established companies in India and Africa.
The British introduced a parliamentary system of government to the Indians. As stated in document 3 by Romesh Dutt, “Englishman has given the people of India the greatest human blessing – peace.” They have introduced Western Education. This has brought an ancient and civilized nation in touch with modern thought, modern sciences, and modern life. This means that the British have positively affected India because they brought over their knowledge and educated the natives, which results in more skilled workers. They also modernized India with their economic system of Mercantilism, and their parliamentary form of government.
Disagreements erupted over how the colonies felt that they should be treated and the way they were actually treated by Britain. The British stance was that the colonies were created for the benefit of Britain and the Colonialists wanted more say in their own existence. One main cause of the revolution was that the Colonists wanted more representation within the British government hence “no taxation without representation”, (Hickman n.d.), Britain was unwilling to do this. Another factor was the geographical distance between Britain and the Colonists, this created a sense of independence with in the colonies. Britain therefore tried to tighten control over the Colonists through a series of acts designed to quell any sense of rebellion.
Instead the British restricted them to where they have always lived. The British didn't see anything wrong with this because they weren't being the ones restricted. Now the colonists can't make trades or communicate with the Natives. Another reason why the proclamation wasn't fair for the colonists. The proclamation was only supposed to be temporary but since it was working so well (economically) for the British they decided to keep it.

To conclude, President Johnson set the stage for a period of immense federal reform and a shared sense of equality for the American people – a pinnacle of liberalism. Although his decisions caused a rift with the conservatives of the time as they extended the reach of government and expanded its role in tending to the wellbeing of its citizens, he ultimately managed to successfully move the nation forward towards a better
