Answer: In my opinion, I would lay the overall authority of regulations and procedures to be handled on both the federal and state level in company. I do so because there should be a general set of regulations to follow set by the federal level, but there would also be a variance of regulations dependent on the state’s population and environments etc. that would need to be managed by the state level. Also I would encourage, but not require, that good local governments would also put into place initiatives to assist in sanitation purposes. (14 points) 3.
Hagg Lake, with a storage capacity of 53,600-acre feet, is the impoundment created by Scoggins Dam. Hagg Lake water is currently used for river flow restoration, municipal water supply and agricultural irrigation needs throughout the Watershed. The reservoir has park and recreation facilities operated by Washington County. The Water Supply Feasibility Study addresses aspects of raising Scoggins Dam by 20-feet and by 40-feet. Raising Scoggins Dam would affect tributaries to Hagg Lake as well as Scoggins Creek downstream of Scoggins Dam.
This list is used to score a sites potential risk to human health. If a site ranks high on this list it does not necessarily mean immediate action will be taken. After being placed on the National Priorities list, a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study is conducted in order to; “characterize the sites conditions, determine the nature of the waste, assess risk to human health and the environment, and evaluate the potential performance and cost of the treatment technologies that are being considered” (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2011). Following the completion of the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study is the Record of Decision. This is a public document that defines which cleanup methods will be utilized.
Specifically, Durkheim’s theory will be looked at under the microscope, as it applies to the “Buffalo Creek Disaster.” The specific levels of social integration will be examined as they relate to this disaster, and the events that make it up both during and after the immediate tragedy. Through examining the events of The Buffalo Creek Flood, social integration and social regulation will prove to relate differently to the outcomes of the event, especially in individual circumstances. Durkheim’s studies, not just those on social integration and regulation, but also those on lives in general, support balance. Durkheim’s vast view of society and both the individualistic and collective roles that are shared by a people explain his later views on detachment (Durkheim, 250). One of the principles of Durkheimian thought is that of social integration: achieved by the combining of multiples individual roles in one society.

The four main topics of the framework for ecological risk analysis describe would include problem formulation, the two parts of analysis the characterization of exposure, the characterization of effects and risk characterization (Environmental Protection Agency, 2002. Pgs 402-428). Problem formulation is when the risk managers work together to decide on the purpose of the assessment. They will review the sources, the stressor, and the effects that it will have. This is the first step to evaluate the strengths and limitations of the information.
