It was obvious at a young age that Wayne was no ordinary athlete. When he was six, Wayne was already playing against 10-year-olds. And as stated in the book “On the ice with Wayne Gretzky,” Matt Christopher, (pg.7) talks about When Wayne was just 11, he scored over 300 goals in his hockey league. Gretzky turned pro at 17 and played briefly in the World Hockey Association for the Edmonton Oilers. When the Oilers moved up to the NHL the following year,
Broomball is similar to hockey in that it is played on ice, however it is played with a ball instead of a puck, sneakers instead of skates, and the sticks are different. II. Credibility Statement: I played broomball growing up, applied to some colleges just for having intramural teams, and have done thorough research on the sport. III. Relate Topic to Audience: Many of you in here enjoy watching and playing sports and trying new things, so why not try your hand at broomball?
Vanessa Correa p.6 ms.GG homework Sled hockey is a sport that is played by many athletes with disabilities all over the world. The USA Hockey, the sport started in Sweden when a few hockey players wanted to continue playing the sport with a physical disability. As the sport grew in popularity, more teams start growing. They seemed to be in Middle School, and they were having snowball fights. This looked sort of dangerous because there is actually quite a lot of traffic around this area, and there is no type of gate or anything that can protect them, since there was no adult supervision around. I propose to gate this lot in some sort of way, and make it a park, or play area for children around that age. It would be a great way for the children to be in a safer
Slow Motion As your adrenaline pumps during snowboarding while shredding down the mountain slopes on a beautiful day in the Sierras is the life. The feeling of snowboarding to me is pure serenity, but its all fun and games until someone gets hurt. I had just freshly turned 18 and felt like I was on top of the world, and could take on anything. I could do all kinds of tricks, I could spin, jump, flip, twirl, I could do it all when it came to snowboarding. I felt invincible.
In New Hampshire everyone skate and snowboard. Even though I had never touched a skate board or snowboard, I created my Myspace to look like I had and that I was quite good at it too. It work, everyone that added me on Myspace believed that I could skate and snowboard (till I had to actually prove it). The point being is that I confuse my own identity and everyone else identity of me. It is not always like that
(“snowmobile”) The first patent was by Carl J. Eliason, and it came out in 1927, and was made out of recycled bike parts, skis and a small engine. From that time onwards inventors rushed to get their patents in. In The 60’s there were thirteen patents granted that ranged from sleds to Karl Lochs motor airplane, all of which were considered the ancestors of the modern snowmobile (Allyson). In 1955 Polarise made a great commitment to the single tracked snowmobile yet failed to the development and testing of the single track snowmobile, but failed to to take the leap forward when they were hit by the problems with the comet (Allyson). Joseph-Armand Bombardier was the person who really got things going for the snowmobiles, he designed, produced and marketed his Ski-doo sled in 1959.

This has caused many debates on this topic, and if it’s really needed in today’s game. Fighting in hockey is a big part of North American hockey yet is banned in world events like the Olympics and other world hockey tournaments. Raising the debate. Should fighting be banned in all of hockey? For those who are not avid hockey fans, the stereotype is generally that hockey players fight each other for fun.
Some examples include polar bears everywhere, snow all year round, everyone loves hockey and everyone drinks beer. One stereotype that is quite literal is Canadians attitude. Many believe Canadians are peaceful and well mannered. This can be proven time and time again. When I was on a trip in beautiful Quebec City, I had difficulties communicating.
