Introduction From the time you enter this world, you have to depend on others. As a child, you are taught to cooperate and share. When you fail to cooperate and share, you face the consequences. At other times during your development, you are taught there are some things you just have to do on your own. All through life you are taught to work with others as a team and to work as an individual. But your skills at working as an individual and working with a team may be tested when you are put in an academic setting and, eventually, when you enter your career. You may find that you prefer to work alone, or you may find that you prefer to work with on a team. We will be discussing the different aspects of individual work versus team work. We will provide information as to the benefits and consequences of each, and how this can be applied not only to your professional career, but your personal life as well. We will discuss the positive aspects of working individually, and how it affects the overall outcome of an individual project. We will discuss the negative aspects of working individually, and how it could negatively effect the completion of a project. We will show how the positives and negatives can be combined together to achieve an overall result. We will discuss the positive aspects of working as a team, along with the negative aspects of working as a team. We will provide insight to the overall results of each, and how they can benefit the adult learner. We will provide important information that is vital to working on a project, and how it relates to working as a team or as an individual. We will provide insight on how the benefits and consequences can be used to complete a project by using the strengths of each team member to build up the weaknesses of the other team members.
