Over the last five centuries, imperialism has been one of the most powerful forces in history. During the 19th century, many countries began to use imperialism and they expanded it throughout the world. Many countries had being victims of imperialism including, Ireland, India, Africa, United States, and Europe. Most countries practice imperialism because they want to explore different areas, have a better economy and have power over others. Most countries like to explore different areas, so they can make medical and scientific research. When a powerful country wants to find the cure for a disease, imperialism is an useful technique that they can afford. For example, when Europe imperialized Africa, Europe tried to find a cute for all the diseases that were killing people in Africa, such as Hepatitis A, Malaria, Ebola and Typhoid fever. The tropical parts of Africa were not the best, for that reason many diseases were developing. Also, Europe helped the economic in Africa by creating many hospitals and providing jobs to people. It is the dream of most countries to expand their territory, so they can produce more money. An example of a country that used imperialism to expand its territory was the United States. During the 19th and 20th century the United States took control over Mexico. The United States enlarged its territory by taking a part of Mexico region. By taking a part of Mexico area the United States put more land in use. There was more space for the United States to create more hospitals, offices and industries. In this way the United States had the opportunity to provide more jobs and improve the economy. Furthermore, most countries increase their economy by having employees for cheap labor.
