These inventions (refer to Document C for examples) caused great economic expansion across Europe. Yet at the same time, these exact inventions caused for a need of more raw materials. This is where Imperialism began to take shape, because before Imperialism in Africa had begun, there were still many examples of Europeans who’d enslaved africans on their own land. Which meant that once raw materials for machines that needed simple labor in a factory rather than the fields were needed to maintain their great economic boost; whichever European country had the most property in Africa, got to conquer the most land in its entirety (Scramble for Africa). Meaning these now obsolete slaves were being subject to have to watch European countries take over their lands and began industrializing on african soil because of how rich in materials the African land is.
Increased acceptance of imperialism echoes the capitalist nature of the international community. In other words, changes within capitalist conditions sparked changes within imperialism. Expansionism represented the ability to expand the United States’ capitalist market through an increase of trade, inexpensive raw materials, and labor. When wealth from undeveloped nations was exported back to the United States, it increased wages for working class Americans
This would cause the establishment of banks and the sakk, a forerunner of checks. Trade across the silk roads and Mediterranean Sea, agricultural success, and the establishment of advanced business practices in the Byzantine Empire and Muslim world show the similarities that both civilizations possessed. Today’s world is still influenced by the cultural achievements that the Byzantines and Muslims contributed to society. Mass production beginning in the 1920's allowed a broader group of people to increase their consumption. The influx in the production of products created more jobs and money. Advertising took advantage of this new consumer money and convinced many to buy unneeded goods. Also, a system of credit was established to allow lower class citizens to consume more. Credit gave people time to pay off the cost of the product.
New Imperialism Between the years 1870 and 1920, European imperialism accelerated due to political, economic, and social forces. Imperialism is the domination over undeveloped countries using these forces. The Industrial Revolution helped advance the European nations through technology. Other nations were able to control over many other less-developed areas around the world. Imperialism began in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century’s affecting many countries, for example, China, India, Africa, and South America were all affected by imperialism.
It also had a stable government, which allowed for the people to begin industrializing in the first place, harbors for trade, a very large population resulting in a very large workforce, and many water ways throughout the country to transport materials and products as well as to use for water power at mills. There are several reasons why the Industrial revolution started in the first place. One reason being that there was widespread resistance to disease in Europe as well as a reliable food supply, allowing for steady population growth, which in return created more demand for products, which in turn resulted in new ways of producing products more efficiently in response to demand. As a result of Industrialization, a new economic philosophy arose. Capitalism called for the lack of government intervention in the economy.
The USA started exporting and importing goods with other countries. So, to keep up with demand, we had to produce more, which led to factories and labor unions. Also, the Railway Act that President Lincoln signed helped spur the Industrial Revolution

One of the most important new technologies that aided Leopold’s effort was the new medicine available. There was new medicine that could prevent his troops from catching malaria and other deadly diseases, so they could go into Africa without worrying about getting sick. Another new advancement that helped King Leopold’s troops conquer the natives was the new guns that were available.
