Impact of Technology on Relationships Technology in everyone of our lives, is rapidly growing in just the short amount of time we have relied on it. It is true that technology has made our lives easier, yet I feel it has also made the world lazy and less involved. I mean don't get me wrong it has helped us be more effective or efficient in our everyday duties, connecting with far away friends and family even with our work and education. However, with creating an environment where something becomes easier or self sufficient, there is a cost. Faced with this reality and way too often, relationships of many kinds are damaged and made more difficult to establish because of technology and its many personal human or shall I say intimate limitations. The first impact that technology has on relationships is, It has without a doubt branded our culture of needing attention and the definite need for immediate satisfaction. For example, If you stream a movie and it annoys you to have to wait 3 minutes for the movie to buffer. Or another example, you love shopping on Amazon, the feeling of getting an instant confirmation from them via email or text creates gratification. We all live in this society and we all desire to have that instant response of something we really want then and there at that moment. And it may at some point feel truly gratifying. However, whatever you may be gaining in gratification your losing in the ability to be able to ‘brew on something.’ By that I mean you're losing the ability to discover and truly put thought or feeling behind your decisions, yourself and of course others. One impact I see play a major role in a relationship is the inability to have patience in one another. They don't take the time to truly learn and/or love one another. Instead of, "we should see where this goes and take it nice and slow", you have people saying I love
