Business ethics is a very broad term and widely used throughout the world. Business ethics is an ethical way involves distinguishing between right and wrong and then making the right choice. In taking right choices there are various factors that influence people to make their own choices or their personal ethics. The most important factor in a person’s perspective of business ethics is religion, because there are so many different religious views. Religion in the workplace and market place can bring up some of the most difficult issues employers and employees would face. Buddhists follow the teachings of Buddha to help with their ethics in business. The Jewish faith uses the Torah, while Muslims use the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, Hindu’s uses content of book called “Bhagavad Gita” to explain their views on business ethics. Christianity uses the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ to classify their ethics. Workplace and marketplace ethics is about knowing and doing what is good or right. For the Christian, this means applying the Bible and other resources of the Christian faith to help decide and do what is ethical or moral at work. New technology is also an ethical issues now a days businesses use new technology to reach goals more easily and more completely than ever before. In some areas, however, such applications of technology start trespassing on the rights of individuals that may be unethical. So, governments and ethically operated companies are aware of these limitations. With new technology Individual privacy is one area that has been identified clearly through the application of technologies. Companies can track Internet usage, buying habits and individual movement as well as collect personal information. Companies monitor employees and visitors and collect much additional information in the name of security.
