Kathy would like to build the company up to a point so that in the next few years she’s able to retire (Kudler strategic plan, 2003). The employees want to be able to earn a good salary and have job security by working for a profitable and growing company. The customers want a large selection of high quality products at reasonable prices. The company’s suppliers have the similar interests as the employees – steady orders from a profitable and growing company able to pay its bills in a timely manner. Problem Statement Kudler Fine Foods can become the premier gourmet food store in its marketplace by developing effective leadership that enables the company to be
To continue to be the largest retail store, Target has to make sure that their prices are the lowest and that the products they sell meet all of the wants and needs of each customer. Quality and quantity of merchandise is necessary to make sure customers stay loyal to the company and recommend Target to others for the products and services that are sold there. (Target, 2010) Conclusion An organization must assure that each customer is happy with the products and services sell to become and remain a profitable business. Advertising and sales are important to an organization, but recognizing what a customer wants and needs is most important. If a company does not have the products to keep customers satisfied, they may not
The penetration price strategy also favors Wal-Mart’s business approach of low costs products and services. Wal-Mart customers’ expectations are quality products and services at a price that is marginally lower than the competition. The penetration strategy can significantly increase the lifetime value of customers, because they are “hooked” with the outstanding initial service offering. This approach also provides Wal-Mart with the additional business to remain in the maturity phase of the product life

For this task I have been asked choose a business to analysis how the business has been designed covering the points I have been discussed in P1, P2, P3. The business I have chosen is Amazon. Amazon objective are to become a better place for customers to buy and sell products to the highest standards while they still making money, they also discover new products the releases that customers would be interested to purchase, but they aim to keep their customer pleasure by offering discount and giving vouchers by storing their products in large warehouses. Amazon is a biggest worldwide business which provides products to their customers; by providing latest products to their customers they could make great money. Selling latest item on their site would get more customer, by getting more customers this will help Amazon business to gain better shopping place for customers.
End Vision First, I think that implementing a good management plan by the upper level management is very important for KFF’s to succeed as a company. Having a replacement inventory coordinator who purchases the best possible products for all three stores, Also, having a person who controls the accounts payable, receivables, and finances that coordinate all vendors get paid on time will allow Kathy Kudler to focus more on duties that need more attention. For instance, implement a better website for the business will give better benefits to customer, therefore, sells will increase. The company needs to understand the difference between having a website and having an effective website. The website that is in place in KFF only displays the goods and services.
Companies with smaller profit margins must create a larger following of loyal customers because they need to rely on the quantity of customers, not the markup, for their profits. Caffe Umbria will charge $2.00 per 16oz cup of coffee to keep it below the national average cost while not compromising quality of the product. Packaging needs to stay small for purchase in store and online for home brewers so that the customer still gets the same fresh taste at home as they do in the cafes and extra care should be taken to ensure the freshness of the coffee, safety of the packaging, and the shrink in the packaging process. The lower the costs in shrink of packaging and
The overarching mission statement for IKEA is short and to the point but it dreams big,“Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people”. It’s vision and values, or it’s business idea as they describe it, makes that mission seem attainable by “Offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them”. A mission statement is defined as a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual. It plays a role in defining goals, ethics, culture, norms for decision making, and is an important component of the strategic plan. IKEA’s mission is lofty and ambitious and gives a deep insight into the kind of person Ingvar Kamprad is and who he wants the employees of his company to be.
Kudler’s means of differentiating itself from the competition is its ability to provide the best products and the best customer service. The fact that Kudler’s prices are obviously at a premium compared to those of a standard market means that they must earn the mark up built into product costs. Kudler’s owner, Kathy Kudler, enjoys her time spent on the sales floor serving customers more than any other aspect of her job. Another means of providing value to the customer is that of education. By explaining the nutritional values of organic foods and offering samples of exotic products, the consumer benefits from learning the value of organics and the newfound willingness to try foods that were previously unknown to them.
For example, they normally purchase a big number of merchandises from original manufacturers so they will be able to purchase it in very low prices. Then, people who would like to buy their products have to sign up to be store membership. The companies such as Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesales Club, and even Costco will allow just memberships to buy the products in low prices.
